Can a nation cross the line with God? What are the signs that a nation’s days are numbered? What happens to the righteous in a nation that is judged? North Carolina Baptist Pastor Dr. Timothy Sims answers those questions today.
But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth.
For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer.
Christians are at war with the world, the flesh, and the devil. Satan empowers the world to attack believers externally, persecuting, deceiving and seducing them. Internally, sinfulness frustrates the efforts of believers to serve God fully. The world is an enemy, world refers to the sinful human race, hostile to the truth and to the people of God. The world hates Christians.
The beast may represent the world’s antichristian persecution. The world has its own false teaching and religion. This beast is thought to represent antichristian religion. The world seeks to seduce Christians. Babylon may represent the world’s seduction. Sinful human nature is an enemy. The devil is an enemy.
He seeks to tempt Christians. He seeks to deceive. He constantly seeks to accuse believers.
Conscience is that faculty of the mind, or inborn sense of right and wrong, by which we judge of the moral character of human conduct. It is common to all men. Like all our other faculties, it has been perverted by the Fall. It is spoken of as defiled and seared. A conscience void of offense is to be sought and cultivated.
Apostasy is the abandonment of one’s religion. The word apostasy is rarely found in the English Bible.
But the reality expressed by the word is found frequently...

Fresh off the release of the deluxe version of his new self-titled album, two-time GRAMMY® award-winner Timothy Bloom is excited about the future. Recently named a VH-1 Soul “You Oughta Know Artist,” Timothy Bloom is on the move. Forged from a childhood of diverse experiences, powered by a kaleidoscope of musical influences, Timothy’s music defies category and refuses to be put in a box. But my music is ultimately a fusion of many influences. I could never see myself doing one type of music. When anyone asks me who I’d like to work or tour with, I answer everybody.”He started early. Timothy was introduced to various cultures and lifestyles as his father’s service as an army chaplain took the family to such varied locales as Germany, Alaska and Oklahoma. His parents, both pastors, only allowed their five children to listen to gospel music. One day Timothy “ran away”, meaning he spirited away the keys, and snuck out to the car to turn on the radio. The first song that came on was Bob Dylan’s “Lay, Lady, Lay.” Seven year-old Timothy was amazed, and inspired. Timothy’s refreshing voice and sound reflect the multiple influences of his musical heroes and his varied upbringing. He attributes his unique blend to the styles he heard growing up. His favorite singers were the likes of Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Johnny Mathis, Frank Sinatra, Jeff Buckley because “those type of cats had tone and texture.” Timothy’s tone and texture caught the eye of skilled musicians early on. He began his career as a songwriter and producer writing for the incomparable Smokey Robinson (“My World”, “Fallin in Love”). Timothy then moved on to writing and producing GRAMMY® award-winning songs for both Ne-Yo (“Say it” on Because of You) and Chris Brown (“All Back” on F.A.M.E).

Interviews, reviews, memories, and sneak peeks with the cast of THE PRYOR EMPIRE: A Richard Pryor Tribute by Timothy John! Official dvd of the stage play coming soon along with an encore performance of the show!
Fifteen years ago actor, writer, director, and producer Timothy John left his hometown of Kansas City to follow his dreams. At the request of the show's executive producer, he gave a breathtaking tribute to Richard Pryor at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem, N.Y. now he's set to relive this tribute for KC audiences!
Almost ten years have passed since Richard Pryor, arguably the greatest comedian ever, lost his battle with multiple sclerosis. Pryor will never lose his position as cultural icon, and we can only hope that a cure to this debilitating disease will soon be found so we don't lose another soul that reaches out and touches as did Pryor and his ability to allow us to experience our reality with the outrageous, profane, and conscience perspective that only he imparted.
“The Pryor Empire” will feature Timothy John as Pryor from his teenage years up until the years of his last breath. He will also bring on Pryor's former wives, closest friends, and his long time fan favorite character, Mudbone.
“The Pryor Empire” is guaranteed to entertain and electrify audiences as if Pryor were still alive.
"I always wanted to star as Richard Pryor in the movie of his life. Post-Jo Jo Dancer, his complete biopic. No one's called about the movie yet, so I decided to do this one-man show in honor of the man I looked up to and give back to his family, his struggle, and his legacy.” -Timothy John
