Sarah Sweeney has always been interested in who people are, and what makes them tick – their story. This is the main reason why she decided to go to the field of social work. She received her bachelor's degree in social work from the University of New Hampshire, and her Masters degree in social work from Tulane University. Your story or your experiences help to shape the way the way that you view the world around you. Her story is not all that different than most, as long and you take the opportunity to scratch below the surface.
Sarah has Cerebral Palsy and with all the trials and triumphs that she has faced she believes that it is important to continue to climb the ladder with determination because that is the only way that change is going to be made. Sarah's ultimate goal is to be able to fulfill her dream of working with children, ultimately children with life changing illnesses or disabilities as well as working closely with their families, because it is important to realize that one's story affects the entire family unit.

A midlife woman whose passion is inspiring others to happiness - from the inside out. I'm a former corporate branch manager and home schooling mom enjoying her "Third Act" as if I've been planning for it my entire life.
In addition to writing her own Huffington Post column, Maura has appeared in a number of popular media outlets including the BBC Radio, the Boston Globe, Midlife Boulevard and Match.com.
Passionate about life, people and finding what's best in us all, Maura Sweeney shares her musings through blogs, videos and her ebook series - The Art of Happiness.
True to her Texas honky-tonk roots, Sunny Sweeney has never been a singer of what you’d call “soft” country songs — the kind you might turn to for easy comfort and or quiet Sunday afternoons with the family. Hell, you can tell just by the titles of her first two albums — Heartbreaker’s Hall of Fame and Concrete — that she reaches straight for the hard stuff. So when this woman sees fit to name her third album Provoked, you better believe she’s not about to start playing coy now. No, this is where the real hurtin’ starts, and Sweeney’s showing no mercy … least of all to herself.
On Provoked—produced by Luke Wooten—Sweeney’s singing it all from first-hand experience, and she’s not always singing from the perspective of an innocent victim, either. The album embodies the same mix of toughness and vulnerability that appealed to so many fans of Sweeney’s first two albums, but with an added level of tested-by-fire resilience that deepens the music’s emotional resonance. The songs range from the heart-on-sleeve honesty of “My Bed,” “Uninvited” and “Sunday Dress” to the raucous barroom rave-ups of “You Don’t Know Your Husband” and “Everybody Else Can,” and follow Sweeney’s turbulent and unabashedly personal roller coaster ride from reckless abandon (“Bad Girl Phase”; co-written by Brandy Clark) to yearning (“Find Me”) to candid self-reflection (“Second Guessing”) to the bittersweet defeat (“Carolina on the Line”) to, finally, the healing embrace of happiness (“Used Cars”).
Hugh T Alkemi speaks live with a special guest James Penner about his most recent book entitled "Timothy Leary: The Harvard Years." Obviously we'll be talking extensively about the psychological and psychedelic experimentation that went on during the time that Tim Leary was at Harvard along with Richard Alpert (Ram Dass), Ralph Metzner, and Andrew Weil.
