Tiana Laveen is a uniquely creative and innovative author whose romance fiction is geared towards those who not only want to temporarily escape from the daily routines of life, but also delve into social taboo as it pertains to interracial relationships. She seeks to entertain as well as at times, educate and empower black women around the world as it pertains to their self value, self-image and esteem and taking control of their love life and owning ones choices. She wants her characters to be ‘human’, this includes frailties and learning experiences one must overcome. She wants her characters to be relatable and thought-provoking for the reader, in other words, memorable.
Saint scratched his neck and watched as the lights highlighting each floor finally reached one. The doors opened, he immediately heard the vacuums from the cleaning crew. He waved to the custodians and nodded at the security guard as he made his way out of the building. Saint dug in his pant pocket and pulled out his car keys. They clinked together against other keys and a keychain with New York in bright red letters against an ivory background. He noticed a tall, silhouette from the corner of his eye. She moved towards him, her long, jet black bone straight hair swinging just at her waist. Smooth, dark chocolate skin, high cheek bones and slanted, alluring eyes focused intensely on him as her white high heels, and diamond anklet shined in the dusky early evening canvas.

Her third novel, The Slave Master’s Son, transports readers back to a time and place where interracial relationships were not accepted by the dominate society. The novel delivers a scintillating, historical account of one family’s struggles to deal with love, lust, and consequences.
Her first book series entitled “Cross Climax” tackles interracial dating, marriage, and sexual relationships head on without any false bravado. “Cross Climax I” and “Cross Climax II” allow the reader to dive head first into short stories that are packed with seduction, romance, and heart-pounding punch. The two novels in conjunction lead to a surprising, but fulfilling conclusion.
