    Inside the War Nest #9

    in Football

There was no deja vu for the Philadelphia Eagles and their fans, as the Birds set up for a rematch with the Dallas Cowboys in week 14 for the Sunday night game...With a very different result! You KNOW Jim Williams and Mike McShane have just a few thoughts or more, over the Birds performance on the latest edition of Inside The WarNest.

The Eagles lost to their division rivals, the Dallas Cowboys at the Linc on Sunday night. This loss hit fans and the team hard, with a win meaning a secure spot of the NFC East. Now, everyone must root for an Indianapolis win against Dallas this coming week to have a shot at the playoffs.

The night started off rough for the Birds, when the special teams made an error on the opening drive of the game. This error allowed the Cowboys to score early.

As against the Seahawks in the previous week, the Cowboys dominated the time of possession on the field. LeSean McCoy was once again held, with only 64 yards on the night. Though the TDs for the Birds came from Polk and Sproles. Mark Sanchez threw 2 picks, and Dez Bryant of the Cowboys showed all the holes in the Eagles secondary with some big touchdowns.

This loss has many fans discouraged and anxious about the playoff future and leaves many questions: Have good teams like the Seahawks and the Cowboys showed a chink in Chip Kelly’s armor and the weaknesses of the team? What QB is the future of the team? Without a playoff appearance, can this season be called a success?

Next week, the Birds take on the hapless, dysfunctional Washington Redskins, and a chance to regain some footing in the NFC East. The guys break down that upcoming games, and the challenges the Birds face to make a playoff run.

"Black Woman, Listen Up: Black Men Speak Out On Black Relationship Barriers"

    in Lifestyle

SPONSORED BY MARK PITTMAN--Endless discussions, complaints, excuses, and finger-pointing  have been exchanged among us highlighting, if not full-page advertising, the utterly dismantled state of African-Americans. Many suggestions and "down-the-line" plans have been sketched out, but unfortunately, the bickering remains in surplus while our time to rejuvenate and restore is running out. There's an age-old favorite pastime that has been virally reactivated--The Slaughter of The Black Innocents"--which is claiming the lives of our children without reason and without consequence. The modern-day version of this game is more vicious and callous, and since our precious youth has taken on their killers head-on without their protectors, we must do some fast-track damage control so we can resume our much-ignored roles and protect what's left of them. What happened to that unique, sacred and once-impenetrable force field of safety our people valued and refused to negotiate away? The regal unit known as the Black family..headed by the Black Kings and Queens who held each other down no matter what the outsiders threw at them? Tonight, Black men speak out to Black women on the roles they play in the destrcution of the Black relationship,. as well as their own secret struggles that prevents them from verbalizing to their women, hence further broadening the fatal gap. This week on Golf Talk Live - Ruben Arzolla, Joe Arzolla plus Rory & Jennifer Erchul from "The Chute Trainer".

Here's a little about The Chute Trainer"

The idea and concept started in 2011 on the softball fields in Pocatello, Idaho. Founding partner and conceptual development person, Ruben Arzola, was looking for a way to increase his throwing ability without adding weights, spending a lot of time or money on a gym membership or purchasing useless gadgets that simply don’t work. While joking around with his brother, Joe, Ruben picked up a GI Joe doll with a parachute attached and threw it at his brother. The idea was born.

Later in the show: Donna White - Class A LPGA Tour Division, Class A LPGA Teaching and Club Professional Member & PGA Member who was just inducted into the LPGA T&CP Hall of Fame.

Also joining me is: Valerie Moore - LPGA / PGA Director of Instruction John Prince Golf Learning Center & Golf Professional Services, Inc.

John Carver Show - It Mattered to the Starfish

    in Self Help

Today's Show is about MAKING A DIFFERENCE in people's lives!

"While walking along a beach, an elderly gentleman saw someone in the distance leaning down, picking something up and throwing it into the ocean.

As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young man, picking up starfish one by one and tossing each one gently back into the water.

He came closer still and called out, “Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?”

The young man paused, looked up, and replied “Throwing starfish into the ocean.”

The old man smiled, and said, “I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?”

To this, the young man replied, “The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them in, they’ll die.”

Upon hearing this, the elderly observer commented, “But, young man, do you not realise that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can’t possibly make a difference!”

The young man listened politely. Then he bent down, picked up another starfish, threw it into the back into the ocean past the breaking waves and said, “It made a difference for that one.”
