Best known for his role as Phillip Chancellor III on "The Young & The Restless" from 1986-1989 and again from 2009-2011. His book, "Forgiving Troy," is an incredibly honest autobiographical account, focusing on the darkest period of his life. Currently, Thom can be seen on the hit web-series, "Old Dogs, New Tricks," in a recurring role.
Join me as I talk to Thom about his current projects, his art, and his desire to return to Y&R as an openly-gay character, a subject-matter the show has yet to really tackle. Thom Reed is a South Beach fashion photographer, and the founder of MIAMI MODELS, w/clients: Polo Black Label, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ralph Lauren. The historic off-world / UFO case of the Reed Family, was assigned a Vallee classification of "CE4" (close encounter of the 4th kind), with a Case Category of 3 (physical evidence).
Thom will make public the details of the families UFO/Off-world Encounters. He will detail how and why their case became the 1st encounter officially inducted by a Massachusetts Township and Historical Society.
The incidents’ involving the Reed’s made local news on WSBS Radio in the 1960’s. The incident and/or Disk shaped craft that was seen descending over the Reed farm in 1969, was issued a HYNEK classification; during the final months of Project Blue Book. Attorney Robert Bletchman, now the Reeds legally retained Attorney would mention their 1960’s encounters in support of 33/426, at the United Nations. Bletchman working in conjunction with Mohammad Ramadan, the President of the Parapsychology Society at the United Nations organized a symposium on the UFO subject in 1992. Thom’s father, Attorney Howard Reed would lose his life under questionable circumstances, on that same day. Detective Steve White an officer with over 30 years of law enforcement experience, investigated the Reed case. White did document radioactive hot spots and magnetic anomalies associated with one of the encounters. Officer White would report, “Authentic encounter with an unknown powerful force”. Thom passed his first and only Polygraph test with a score of 99.1%. The test was administered by a veteran police officer at the Department of Defense, Polygraph Institute. It should be noted that this family of professionals have a City Proclamation in their honor, and a commemorative bench in the City Green. Excerpts from "Early Morning At The "Tomb Raider" Temple.
The crowds that visit Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and the Angkor Ruins region can be overwhelming. Over 2.3 million people visited the site in 2014 making it one of the most popular tourist attractions in all of Southeast Asia. On my last visit I spent many early mornings wandering the ruins including visits to Ta Prohm, the temple complex made famous by the 2001 film Lara Croft Tomb Raider.
Ta Prohm was built in the late 12th and early 13th centuries in the Bayon Style which include face towers and naga carrying giant figures. Originally called Rajavihara it is located one kilometer east of Angkor Thom, the last great city of the Khmer Empire. King Jayavayerman Vll who ruled the empire oversaw construction of Ta Prohm from Angkor Thom, where he ruled.
Ta Prohm had been left almost in the same condition as it was found, with huge trees growing out of the structure which have literally taken over the temple, one of it’s striking features.
Don’t forget to look on the ground as there are many relics from the temple half buried under your path.
Is it worth it to wake up early with all of the craziness of the crowds? Of course, it’s Angkor Wat. It’s an amazing experience. Just be prepared for a little nonsense and sometimes rudeness with that many people gathered in one spot. Don’t get me wrong I’m not trying to be a downer. Just preparing you for what’s going to happen so you can adjust your expectations accordingly. If I didn’t have proof you’d probably never believe me if I told you someone even brought a horse. Mind you this was sunset, a different crowd indeed
