Amazingly unique talent abounds on the next show! First is the Toronto-born, New York-based vocalist and instrumentalist, Amy Cervini. Acclaimed by multiple publications, Amy cut her teeth on classical piano - then moved onto sax and a membership within the Toronto All Star Big Band.
She auditioned at the New England Conservatory on alto sax, but one of the instructors asked her if she could sing. She offered "Bye, Bye Blackbird" and wowed the panel. In Boston, she learned that singing felt more natural than merely playing - but in playing she had found her "voice" (as it were) regarding the ability to be a bandleader.
Her fourth project drops on 2/18/2014 - and we're going to celebrate! This decidedly independent talent hears Jazz differently and we're about to hear why Amy frequently starts her live shows with "Don't Fence Me In." Her new CD? It's titled, "Jazz Country!" Hah!
Leonardo Lucini is another one of those fabulous HYBRIDS that we love! A most respected bassist, he is also an educator of note. He and his brothers, Alejandro and Bruno, form the group called Origem. So authentic is their blend of native Brazilian sounds that the Washington, D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities awarded a grant to the family in order to complete a musical project. That CD, "Ijexa", was released in the late 90's.
There can't be enough said about Leo...as well as the above, he is also a composer and arranger - who has worked with Nestor Torres, Benito Gonzalez, Federico Pena and more. And having been a member of the Howard University Jazz Ensemble, he has been in the company of Legends.
On 2/22, both Leo and Alejandro will be featured as "The Brazil Project" at An die Musik in Baltimore. He'll take it from there! Get ready for an exciting Tuesday!

Imagine the the ultimate "Fall Fashion Runway on the Bridge" constructed with safe, sturdy, and strong elevated runway for the model. Absolutely, no ridiculous, unsafe, and dangerous high heel shoes, but upscale designer shoes, boots, and accessories of distinction, class, and caliber. With vendors on both ends, special arranged seating for the audience, spotlights, Jazz music [selectively chosen], African Drums, and Opera music for evening and bridal scenes. The fall season is my favorite season because the colors are bold, rich, and colorful along with the tailored fashion trends. I fancy shawls, gloves, shoes, beautiful hats, bags, jackets, suits, and the best styles. When the models take the runaway - they each own the runway with the purpose of profiling the designer. The second they take center-stage the runway is their world for that walk! Gold accessories are on the rise, and I am loving the trend. My favorite accessories are diamond studs because I personally prefer simple elegance thats with the tailored essence. The tailored look is timeless and transition very well from generation to generation, and from trend to trend. Yes, I love diamond stud earrings, pearl studs, cultured pearls, but the bracelets combined with the diamond tennis bracelet is my fashion fun! My favorite color is deep navy blue with a long extra long pure white shawl. Fashion from India excites my fashion style! One new scene I hope to spotlight is "The Lounger." Living and entertaining guests requires for the host to compliment the event, environment, and the engagement of people. The host must represent the elegance of the fashion inside the estate. This show is going to be a blast from the runway on the bridge, greetings in the gathering room, Kitchen, formal dining, to the billiard room, outdoor living, to the pool watch the host pack the fashion.
Kelowna, British Columbia -- There is a prevalent misconception that all people with sexual addictions are able to control their maladaptive sexual behavior. There may also be a connection, not often considered by the public, between sexual addiction and sexual abuse both in cases of abusers as well as the sexually abused.
“Working through sexual abuse can be a form of grieving,” explains therapist Barb Gladue. “It’s the death of the dream of who you were going to be because I believe that sexual abuse changes your spirit.”
As a child, therapist Barb Gladue was herself the victim of both physical and sexual abuse; and throughout her journey of 30 years as a therapist she has sought to learn not only how to support those who have been oppressed by sexual abuse but also how to begin to change the cycle of sexual addiction within sexual addicts themselves.
“Being abused can be a powerless position, but addicts can feel completely powerless also. It’s the other side of the pendulum,” says Gladue. “I wanted to know how and why the addiction started. I believe that sexual addicts are not born, they’re made. So my goal was to find out how they got there, how they were made and where we can go from there.”
Today, Gladue is the founder of B Proactive Counselling, which specializes in providing client-centered counselling to individuals on both sides of the sexual abuse equation. Gladue offers a personalized treatment plan that focuses on healing and creating a more successful future.
“Many of these addicts have wept in my office and shook their heads in shame and total disbelief that they were even capable of this behavior,” says Gladue. “If you want to be free and go down a new path, we set up a level of accountability and empower you to understand why it happened and find healing.”

There seems to be a New era or definition of the word opportunity, my basic understanding is opportunities is a chance to advance or further ones career or life ! The perception now in busineess opportunities is, you pay me for a service and what you make of it is your own payday ? How is that opportunity ? That example is just a business investment of one person getting paid by you up front and you have to rely on your own ! Opportunity to me is hey we want to invest in you or your company, we believe in you so we will put up the resources first and you put in the work and we can all get paid at the same time ? May be I from a different generation or out of the loop but back in the day if some one was really interested they would pay you up front !
