3 Generations & Over 55 Years Of Imprisonment
Tai Zen is a 3rd generation prisoner in his family.
His family had to endure the pain of incarceration and suffering across 3 generations of men spanning 3 different countries across the globe.
Between his grandfather, father, older brother, and his self, they will have spent a total of over 55 years in prison and over 95% of that incarceration time was done by his older brother, “Chop” and himself.
However, the mental, physical, and spiritual suffering that they all endured regardless of the reason why they were thrown in prison are all the same.
Today’s Prisons Have No Bars, Walls, Gun Towers, & Razor Wire
His imprisonment gave him the unique insight to experience and truly understand the nature of human “imprisonment” and “freedom”.
The prison he was in was very obvious because it had nasty steel bars, vicious razor wires, relentless perimeter trucks, trigger happy armed guards, overbearing watch towers, invisible motion sensors, etc. to ensure he could not escape.
However, as he looked at the supposedly “free” world around him after his release from prison, he began to notice the horrors of the “invisible” shackles and chains that imprisoned everyone around him.
His movement is to create freedom from self imposed prisons.
Human rights organizations, as well as political and social ones, are condemning what they are calling a new form of inhumane exploitation in the United States, where they say a prison population of up to 2 million – mostly Black and Hispanic – are working for various industries for a pittance. For the tycoons who have invested in the prison industry, it has been like finding a pot of gold. They don’t have to worry about strikes or paying unemployment insurance, vacations or comp time. All of their workers are full-time, and never arrive late or are absent because of family problems; moreover, if they don’t like the pay of 25 cents an hour and refuse to work, they are locked up in isolation cells.
There are approximately 2 million inmates in state, federal and private prisons throughout the country. According to California Prison Focus, “no other society in human history has imprisoned so many of its own citizens.” The figures show that the United States has locked up more people than any other country: a half million more than China, which has a population five times greater than the U.S. Statistics reveal that the United States holds 25% of the world’s prison population, but only 5% of the world’s people. From less than 300,000 inmates in 1972, the jail population grew to 2 million by the year 2000. In 1990 it was one million. Ten years ago there were only five private prisons in the country, with a population of 2,000 inmates; now, there are 100, with 62,000 inmates. It is expected that by the coming decade, the number will hit 360,000, according to reports.

SHOW NOTES: This is an episode that I feel compelled to do! Our MYTH WARRIORS™ series is about targeting ideas to begin the assessment of whether they are credible or not. This episode topic is, “We All Need Someone To Believe In Us.”
No. We don’t need it. This is a myth.
Definition of need:
“: a situation in which someone or something must do or have something
: something that a person must have : something that is needed in order to live or succeed or be happy
: a strong feeling that you must have or do something”
Need. (n.d.). Retrieved August 4, 2014, from http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/need
We may want someone to believe in us. A want is not a need. The challenge is that if we convince ourselves of the lie (myth) that we need someone to believe in us and we don’t have anyone who does; we argue that we have to give up on life. No one believes in us. We don’t believe in ourselves. We engage in self-destructive behavior. We sabotage ourselves. We befriend bitterness, regret and anger. We waste each day mired in self-pity.
Of course, it is wonderful if someone believes in you! If many people believe in you, congratulations! You are very fortunate! Yet, that is not a guarantee of any specific outcome (e.g., success, wealth, etc.). It is also not an entitlement. Just because your grandfather, sister, best friend and 7th grade teacher believe in you and have told you that you are special and super-awesome, does not mean that the rest of the world shares that same sentiment. We are all judged as adults as individuals.
Potential is just that. It is not purpose and it is not rewarded. We all have potential. The issue with this show topic is that [...]

United Health Care Cycling Team's Benjamin Day joins us to discuss Stage 5 of the US Pro Cycling Challenge. This stage’s serene first 80 miles hide a vicious finish and a last chance for climbing specialists to really make a move. Starting in the new host community of Woodland Park, Stage 5 heads west then north through some of the most picturesque terrain in Colorado. A quiet run through the Pike National Forest on Tarryall Rd., which was unpaved until just last year, and the riders will christen it properly with high speeds and lots of breakaway attempts. The action really starts when the race hits Fairplay and begins the long grind up 11,500 ft. Hoosier Pass, the highest point in the race. Then it is on to Breckenridge, where last year’s challenging finish up Moonstone Rd. will be repeated again. This nasty little climb can kill a break or launch a winner.
There is a huge crime wave going across the country. Chicago, Jackson, Oakland and the entire state of Florida to name a few. Burglaries, assaults, murders galore. The police force isn't large enough to stop what's going on and the government appears to be too corrupt to seriously do anything about the problem either.
Aren't the troops the answer?
Why should they walk the neighborhood streets of the Middle East when they could be doing that here in the states? One of the biggest deterrents of crime is police visibility. With a shortage of police across most of the country wouldn't it work out better if the police worked in conjunction with the military?
We'll discuss the pros and cons of the idea.
Also on the show, we'll have to figure out who will be a part of our future military because reports show that 71% of kids 17 - 24 years old wouldn't be eligible for the military. They either lack a high school diploma, they're convicted felons, hooked on ADHD drugs, and more. Who will protect our country in the future if the kids these days are too unqualified?
Also on the show, a NC restaurant offers 15% discounts to those who pray before their meal. Fair or foul?
These things and more on the Talk 2 Q Radio Show!

Noah found grace, favor in the sight of God, in the midst os sin , idolatry, evil works and deeds syrrounding his life. Noah stood for righteousness. Probably not expecting a reward for doing so, certainly not aware of the plan of God to destroy the world, untilGod had spoken to him, but because he challenged himself to be different , he acquired, received, was given the favor of God, Which was totally undeserving of.Grace adds to us, make us .
I am going to piss off a lot of people. If I disappear I may be in Gitmo or some other prison somewhere in the world. We have to speak out about what our government and others are doing to the world and its people.I would say we have to take our government back but it was never ours. Our country is based on lies. We the people are pawns in a chess game that is killing us. Now it's people of color, the mentally ill and the poor. The middle class is dwindeling and soon all that wil be left is the rich who will fall too because of their greed.
