Curtis Harwell Discusses, Why are Women Not Eating Enough Protein?

    in Fitness

The Paleo Diet. Protein powder. Half-pound burgers.  In case you haven't noticed, our culture has become obsessed with consuming protein—which means few of us are skimping on the stuff. "We aren't known as a country that's low in protein," says Dawn Jackson Blatner, R.D., author of The Flexitarian Diet. "These days, most of the hot fad diets are very pro-protein."

But despite our national preoccupation with protein, some of us are still slipping through the cracks—namely vegetarians or people who tend to under-eat, says Blatner. Problem is, it can be tricky to identify what's considered "not enough" since the recommended intake of protein is a broad range, rather than one hard number.  "If somebody is eating a 2,000-calorie diet, it could be 50 grams to 150 grams of protein per day," says Blatner. (Things like activity level and weight influence where your ideal intake falls.)

    The Myth of Employee Burnout

    in Business

Burnout (lack of motivation/engagement) is a very real thing, but the reasons it happens often escape people, which is why we see the cycle repeat itself over and over again. An employee starts a job enthused, engaged and motivated, then somewhere along the line they become unproductive and show a lack of initiative.  One of the main reasons this happens (which few people admit) is due to the environment created by a leader.  The trick is for each leader to look in the mirror to determine the source of the breakdown. Matt Heller joins us to talk about this important topic.

Matt is the founder of Performance Optimist Consulting. As a trainer and facilitator, Matt has a developed a proven track record for being able to relate to any audience and give them solid tools they can use immediately.  Matt is the author of The Myth of Employee Burnout.

Hope through Suffering & The Christ Myth Theory

    in Christianity

Welcome to G220 Radio, where we discuss many different topics and issues from a biblical worldview. Our goal is to equip, edify, confront and at times correct the saints as we journey together striving to be more and more ike Jesus Christ!!

    >>Here is what you have to look forward to on this episode of G220 Radio.

    >>>>>Hour One: Hope through Suffering w/guest Richard Story<<<<<

Turn on the television to any "Christian" tv program and your most likely going to hear very similar messages that God wants you to be prosper, to be wealthy and to be healthy. But is that truly the Gospel message, what about when you go through trials and difficulties in life? What about those who go through suffering in this life? Is there hope through the suffering? Richard Story will join us to share with us his testimony of how even through suffering he has hope in Jesus Christ. We will also hear how the Lord brought Richard to salvation and how even though he may be limited physically from doing somethings, he is definetly still able to and has been used by God to encourage others. And we will talk about his passion for evangelism!

    >>>>>Hour Two: The Christ Myth Theory w/guest Vocab Malone<<<<<

Sure there are people who say they dont believe in God. There are people who say they dont believe Jesus was nothing more then just a man or a prophet. Vocab Malone joins us to talk about those who actually hold to the idea that Jesus Christ never existed, that he is just a myth! Denying the historical recorded accounts in scritpure and even in non biblical writings about the existence of Jesus. So be sure to tune in because you will not want to miss this conversation that will help teach us about those who hold to this Christ Myth Theory and help us learn from Vocab how we can respond to these objections that those who hold to this idea will have.

After the Honeymoon, the drive starts to vanish. Myth or Fact?

    in Romance

After the Honeymoon, the sex drive starts to vanish.  Myth or Fact?

Today’s wives are as busy as their husbands.  Wives are not only doing the job of mothering children; they are also the housekeeper, the student, the Corporate Director, the ministry leader or some are even Pastoring churches.  With all this going on sex and intimacy, falls into a category of “when I can get to it”.   Many wives say they try to be sensitive to their husband’s drive considering they seem to “always be in the mood”.  Truth be told wives have been known to say they don’t see the need for all that.  Men, on the other hand, daily initiate the pursuit knowing that it may be a challenge.  They hopelessly search for any given opportunity to “kick off the flames of intimacy”.  From the wives undressing to a subtle suggestion of what meal they want…a husband can be tired and beat but will spark to the moment if given the right suggestion.  What happen to the eye candy, firm body, man that kept you wanting him during the dating season?  Where the woman who you knew is would keep you endowed all night?  After the Honeymoon…did the drive disappear?  Is this what they say about married people having less sex a Myth or is it a Fact? Are singles having all the fun?

    Hot one tonight!

Call in to be a part of the audience. (347)-215-9556.

What to do if your Honey do, won’t.  Bringing the fire back.
