The White House Boys " An American Tragedy"

    in Current Events

By the age of four, Roger Dean Kiser had been abandoned, first by his parents and then his grandparents and placed in a Florida orphanage. Unable to adapt to the difficult, often cruel and abusive environment of the orphanage, and stigmatized by his repeated attempts to run away, he was transferred to a Florida reform school at age twelve.
Published author and Internet writer Roger Dean Kiser's stories take you into the heart of a child abandoned by his family and abused by the system responsible for his care. Through his stories, he relives the sadness and cruelty of growing up an orphan in the early 1950's.
After a vicious and brutal bloody beating at the White House; I swore that I would one day expose what was happening at the facility. And that I did. Some fifty years later I wrote the book The White House Boys-An American Tragedy which, with the help of other men who were abused at the school, closed down the campus for good. The University of South Florida is now on the grounds hunting for the bodies of boys who were killed, buried or simply dumped in the North Florida swamps.
Please join host Antoinette Harrell as she and her special guest Roger Dean Kiser upcoming discussion.

The Wives of the White House Boys Speak Out

    in News

I often wonder what life is like for the women who are married to  the men who call themselves the "White House Boys." These men were abused, beat, and some were even raped while attending Dozier Reform School for Boys. Many of these men used alcohol and drugs to try and escape their horrible childhood experiences at Dozier Reform School for Boy in Marianna, Florida.  For the past six weeks African American and White men shared their horrible experience with the listening audience. Now it time to talk to the women who live day to day with these men.
We can all come to our own conclusions about what life must be like. But until we hear it directly from them, we will never know just how life is for the wives and families who live with White House Boys.  Please join host Antoinette Harrell and co-host Dr. Okpara Nosakhere as they welcome five women who are married to some of the White House Boys who join us weekly right here on Nurturing Our Roots Blog Talk Radio.
Special Guest: Betty DeNyke, Babbs Cooper, Dianne Dowling, Lynn Driver and Patsy Howard.

    Family Banking.................

    in Real Estate

We shall discuss a concept today that should be applied to ALL families and the is the concept of "Family Banking".

First things first this concept applies to FAMILIES ONLY !!!!  It is a "private" entity for FAMILY MEMBERS ONLY; absolutly no transactions should occur outside of the family.

Many people think to start a "Family Bank" you would need much money, but in reality U do not.  You simply need to learn the basics and start with a very sum of money. Of course the Family Bank must invest to make the money grow, but the family can invest in projects that they know and have control over.

Make sure that you have pen and paper ready for this podcast...........the Family Bank Concept is one that EVERY family should bring into reality.  Why bank outside of the family when your family owns their own (private family) bank ?
