Robert Gant joins us to talk about his new story arc on The Tomorrow People, plus a look back at his career including his role on the groundbreaking series, "Queer as Folk."
How can we live our best life now? By living like there's no tomorrow. Truth is we just don't no when our days on earth will end. I know what you may be thinking..... Don't talk about death or life coming to an end cause I have my whole life ahead of me. But this is exactly why we need to discuss this, because as believers we know there's much more than this world can offer. Afterall, Christ really is enough, but do we live by what we sing each Sunday? Why does it seem to take sorrow, sadness, great pain, illness or difficulty to stop us in our busy lives that crowds out our relationship with God? Join me as we tackle this subject head on.
The program all about TV, simulcast live on BlogTalk Radio and Brooklyn Independent Media HD. Our guest: NAMIC president Eglon Simons.NAMIC, the trade association promoting diversity in TV, holds its annual conference Sept. 16-17 as part of Diversity Week 2014 at the Marriott Marquis in New York.

How long is too long -- or not long enough -- when it comes to a soap character mourning their beloved partner, ala GENERAL HOSPITAL's Patrick and Sam? How important is it for a character's morality to either track or, at the very least, make sense (ala Brady finding God on DAYS OF OUR LIVES)? And how do you move a great character past a horrific mistake made by a writing regime (ala THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS' Adam kidnapping Sharon's baby or DAYS' Sami shooting EJ in the head?) This will be our kicking off point tonight as host Richard M. Simms, executive editor of Soaps In Depth magazine, takes your calls on these and other topics. Rememer, as always, where the conversation goes is up to you! Got something you want to contribute or an entirely different topic you'd like to discuss? Call in!

Thru pain and suffereing is where we build character. But what about those who become societal outcasts, who already had a life of being a victim, and then society also now labels them as criminals. You show me one person who had a hard way to go, that did not first end up vicitmized most of their early lives, regardless of the economic upbringing, will either become further victimized, and or, become a predator of sorts.
Lets use a simple example, A child is sexually abused early on in life, they end up runnning away from home, and getting hooked on drugs and into street prostitution, is this entirely their fault to then be labeled as a criminal who breaks societal laws of right or wrong? What were they shown about themselves, by maybe there father, step father, uncle, or brother, mother, grandmother? This example is just used as a base, of what twisted lessons and ideas of right and wrong that are so jaded and hypocritical anymore. These samples are never a bases for all of us adapt to our environment.
That child who was programed by there environment to be used as a sex object, is still a victim, regardless of what is then put as a label upon them later for their poor choices. Under all that crap, the base problem is they were severely victmized and then labeled in even a more horrid way. without any proper protection to begin with.
