REAL TALK with Pastors Rufus and Glenda Fields

    in Religion

REAL TALK with Pastors Rufus and Glenda Fields

    "Be Strong In The Lord."

Hello and Welcome to Real Talk with our Pastors!

Real Talk is a Christian based Radio show segment designed to facilitate discussions between Christians, about the REAL issues Christians face on a regular basis.  Our goal at God’s Anointed Ministries and Global Harvest Kingdom Church is to provide a place on the web through internet Radio for Christians to share their perspectives on how to apply God's word to their everyday life.

Real Talk was developed because we believe that there is a fundamental need to have a place where Christians can openly (and sometimes anonymously) talk about the issues in their daily lives.  Real Talk pastors understands that all Christians are at different places within our walk with God.  Therefore, we will not judge you, or allow anyone here to judge you.

Real Talk recognizes that there are several denominations of Christian believers in Christianity.  However, we believe that no matter which denomination you claim in your life, if you share our core Christian beliefs, outlined in our Statement of Faith on our Website: www.godsanointedministries.com, then your input here may help someone else strengthen their walk with God.

Again, Welcome to Real Talk with our pastors

    Sincerely,

The Staff at Global Harvest Kingdom Church, God’s Anointed Ministries

    Real Christians...Real Issues...Real Talk... God’s Way!!!

Poet and Teacher Adrian Koesters Joins Kori on the Back Porch

    in Poetry

Adrian Koesters holds an MFA in poetry from the Rainier Writing workshop at Pacific Lutheran University and a Ph.D. in fiction and poetry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her first book of poems, Many Parishes, was published by BrickHouse Books as part of their New Poets Series, and other work has appeared in Berkeley Review, The Gettysburg Review, Hotel Amerika, and elsewhere. She has been a poetry and fiction assistant editor at Prairie Schooner and fiction editor at A River and Sound Review. She taught writing at UNL and the Creighton University MFA program, and lives in Omaha, Nebraska. Web URL: www.adriankoesters.com

Koesters' Many Parishes is an original. The poems seem to smack the hard-ass contemporary world up against a deep spiritual sense, until we see they're one and the same. Adrian Koesters is able to write of men calling out to a ten-year old ''spinster'' to ''come on down, sweetheart, I got something over here to show you,'' and allow us to feel in her small, frightened heart the identical anguish of soul as in the nun who's ''divided from the principalities and goes in terror of them.'' These poems, like the nuns, ''take things personally.'' They're lyrical confessions of the deepest griefs--abuse, divorce, doubt, and loneliness. They provide absolution, and positively joy, in their skillful and lucid singing. --Fleda Brown, author of No Need of Sympathy

The Reality of Hell; The Rich Man went to Hell Part 4

    in Religion

here was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.  And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And IN HELL he lift up his eyes, being in TORMENTS, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and COOL MY TONGUE; for I AM TORMENTED IN THIS FLAME. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art TORMENTED. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:  For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of TORMENT. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, IF THEY HEAR NOT MOSES AND THE PROPHETS, NEITHER WILL THEY BE PERSUADED, THOUGH ONE ROSE FROM THE DEAD.”

Celebrating the 1st International Day of Yoga - Minister N.K. Mishra

    in Self Help

Minister N K Mishra, Minister for Personnel & Community Affairs at the Embassy of India, joins Sister Jenna to discuss the International Day of Yoga.

In addressing the UN General Assembly on September 27, 2014, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed an International Day of Yoga and said, "Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help us deal with climate change. Let us work towards adopting an International Yoga Day."

The subsequent resolution introduced by India, received unprecedented support from 175 countries and was unanimously adopted. June 21, 2015, will celebrate the 1st International Day of Yoga. Visit www.indianembassy.org & http://idayofyoga.org.

Join us in Washington, DC, for Yoga for Harmony and Peace, an event organized by Friends of Yoga, in partnership with the Embassy of India to celebrate the International Day of Yoga on June 21st from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at the Sylvan Theater - National Mall, Washington, DC.  Info & Register at http://friendsofyogausa.org
