In this episode, we'll spotlight the incredible power of taking something meant for harm and turning it into something good. Molly McDonald, Founder and President of The Pink Fund, will share her mission to remedy the financial wrath of cancer.
Molly's diagnosis came as a complete surprise. With no family history and 13 years of clear mammograms, she never considered the possibility that an annual check up would reveal breast cancer. Being in the midst of transitioning jobs and insurance coverage, she began asking questions of healthcare providers. She quickly learned there was no clear solution to help alleviate patients' financial stress.
In 2006, armed with financial and disease statistics, and corporate knowledge, Molly set out to make a viable difference with "The Pink Fund." Granted nationwide recognition and sponsorship to include the Ford Motor Company's "Warriors in Pink" designation, her vision continues to grow. In fact, this fiscal year 248 individuals in 40 states received financial assistance!
Molly’s determination to magnify giving forward has been highlighted in The Detroit Free Press and labeled as the Business Superstar of the Week.
Listen, call in and live-chat to meet Molly alongside our more than 20,000 listeners.

The wedding is at 3 o'clock on the beach of Ft. Myers Pink Shell Resort.
When the big moment arrives, the amazing sky appears to be hand printed by our Almighty God, amazing beautiful sky with the wind blowing lightly and the soft music playing. The Wedding Planner instructs me to walk in First as the Wedding Officiant as the Wedding Party follows and then the bride and the bride's father. Instead of declaring for better or for worst with so many divorces going on in the church outside the church, Pastor Fran declared and decreed, for better and better, for richer and richer, for better health and better health, for more spiritual power and authority. Tune in and hear what legacy was left yesterday for the glory and honor of God.

Showcase Group, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk youth, announces the first annual Showcase Awards fundraising event Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Georgia State University Ballroom, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Open to the public for $25 per ticket, the event will recognize ten recipients across five categories: Prevention, Community Engagement, Inspiration, Facing Our Future and Self-Actualization. The event will seek to raise donations to fund a future group home slated to open next year.
"We are pleased to take a moment to honor these men and women who have demonstrated their support for at-risk youth in key areas that align with the mission of Showcase Group," said John Kennebrew, Showcase Group Executive Director and Mental Health Lead at the Center for Children and Young Adults. Honorees in the five categories include Dar'shun Kendrick, Georgia State Representative, Vince Thompson, CEO, MELT Marketing, Louis Negron of the United Way of Greater Atlanta, motivational speaker Les Brown and 6 other local and national leaders who have contributed to elevating the futures of at-risk youth.
