Our intentions are pure…
Awakening Grace is conversation with kindred spirits living their calling…sharing gifts of themselves through stories of faith, hope, and inspiration. Honoring the diversity of faith and experience it is our intention to build bridges of love and understanding by lifting up those special souls who choose to promote joy and healing through kindness, compassion and love.
The world is changing rapidly. Paradigms and world-views are shifting. We are more aware of our connection to one another than ever before. As a global community we have an unprecedented opportunity to see with new eyes and create a world that works…honoring one another and our own sacred paths. Providing opportunities to engage in conscious conversation and self-reflection, we are strengthening the heart and soul of our global community.
Each one of us brings very special gifts to the world, and the world is longing to receive your beautiful contribution. We invite you to share your story, speak your truth, embrace your calling and be part of this movement of kindness, compassion and love.

"We'd love to do more disability ministry, but we just don't have the budget!" This is a cry of frustration for lots of churches with BIG hearts for ministry but limited monies to fund them. Listen is as Vangie interviews Ryan Wolfe about how his church built a thriving and diverse diability ministry without adding budget dollars by utilzing relationships through existing agencies in the community.
Ryan is the Developmental Disabilities Pastor at First Christian Church in Canton, Ohio. “First Christian Church believes each person with a disability has the right to participate in a faith community and feel valued as a community member.” As we are going to learn today, they have a thriving ministry meeting the needs of families affected by disability in almost all stages of life.

The pride of the pack when it comes to community broadband business models is the open-access model in which the local government or public utility owns the physical network and private-sector ISPs deliver services to subscribers. It looks like a relatively easy model to pursue, and dozens of communities say this is their preferred option. In reality, making open access work is a monster challenge requiring intense, constant effort.
Mt. Vernon, WA has built a small cadre of ISPs for its open-access fiber network. Information Services Director Kim Kleppe details how they overcame obstacles and seized opportunities to build a successful network that is financially sustainable. Listeners will learn:
why getting the second ISP is the hardest job in the world;
how to set pricing structure
tips for creating win-win situations
marketing tactics that attract ISPs and subscribers
how to keep everyone on the same page
Kleppe and his colleagues have 12 years experience building and refining their open access model. Communities just getting their networks off the ground can really benefit from the lessons of those who've been in the trenches a while.
Prov. 12:4; an excellent wife is the crown of her husband, But she who shames him is like rottenness in his bones.
