Branding is the expression of the essential truth or value of an organization, product, or service. — I got work done, but I also researched a bunch of newish personal interests (mostly programming and cycling), played an iPhone trivia game with my kids, read a bunch of online articles, and did very little of the writing I’d planned.
Digital distractions have also pulled me from reading and meditation in the last week. I think they plague all of us to varying extents.
Recognizing When it Happens
One of the insidious things about the distraction habit is we often don’t even realize it’s happening. It sneaks up on us, like old age, and before we know it we’re addicted and powerless.
See What’s Going On
Once you’re aware of the distractions and urges, you can start to examine the causes.
So you’re building an awareness, and you’ve examined your causes. If you haven’t yet, take a few minutes to walk around your office or house, or better yet get outside, and contemplate these things.
Considering What’s Important
What’s truly important to you? Social media? News? What everyone else is doing all the time? Games?

Years ago in the 60's and 70's a brilliant marketing campaign was launched for Naugahyde which is actually fake leather.
The ad campaign went as far to claim that Naugahyde came from the hide of an animal called a "Nauga" and the ad claimed: The Nauga is ugly but his vinyl hide is beautiful.".
And Uniroyal Engineered Products who manufactured and marketed Naugahyde even claimed that unlike other animals the Nauga didn't have to be slaughtered for its hide because they shed their hides!
Well in reality it's vinyl or plastic in other words artificial leather.
Now this word plastic is from the Greek word "plastikos" which means something and may I add someone who is capable of being shaped or molded!
Hence the title of today's message: Plastic Christians
But today, we'll look at reality because if there’s anything this world is hungering for its reality.
People are seeking reality and there's a great hunger on everyone's heart to KNOW Jesus Christ whether they know it or not..
Now get this that hunger is not only to know ABOUT Him, but to KNOW Him and to have reality.
And our focus scripture speaks on that subject.
Proverbs 21:28, “A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh constantly”
So today we'll deal with the false witness, and the faithful witness, breaking it right down the middle.
And in essence that's the fatality of a false witness and the reality of a faithful witness.
