Listen in to Fieldstone Common this week as host Marian Pierre-Louis talks to Maureen Taylor, the Photo Detective, about her books The Last Muster and Fashionable Folks Hairstyles 1840-1900.
The Last Muster is a collection of rare nineteenth-century photographic images of the Revolutionary War generation. This extraordinary collection of images assigns faces to an un-illustrated war and tells the stories of our nation's Founding Fathers and Mothers. The array of seventy images is expansive and includes veterans, loyalists, Native Americans, African Americans, children who witnessed battles and aided soldiers, and women who nursed the wounded and even took up arms themselves.
Maureen Taylor is an internationally recognized expert on the intersection of history, genealogy, and photography. She has been featured in top media outlets, including The View, Better Homes & Gardens, the Boston Globe, Martha Stewart Living, MSNBC, New Morning (Hallmark Channel), Life Magazine, PBS Ancestors, Creative Memories’ Lasting Moments, Dear Myrtle, and Satisfaction Magazine. Maureen is the author of a number of books and magazine articles, as well as a contributing editor at Family Tree Magazine.
Maureen investigates photographs the way private eyes investigate cases. She discovers stories behind family pictures by following clues … a hat, the shape of a woman’s sleeve, or a sign in the background. Through her website, PhotoDetective.com, Maureen offers practical, affordable advice on how to save and organize photos. She also writes about the latest photo-related topics, products, and media coverage on her Photo Detective blog.

Dr. Amy Banks was an instructor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and is now the director of Advanced Training at the Jean Baker Miller Training Institute at the Wellesley Centers for Women. She has a private practice in Lexington, Massachusetts, which specializes in relational psychopharmacology and therapy for people who suffer from chronic disconnection. Dr. Banks studies love. More specifically, she studies relational neuroscience, and is publishing a new book with her major findings in the realm of love:
1. It's not actually as important to have a strong sense of self as it is to have a significant other;
2. That friend that ALWAYS chooses the wrong guy isn't weak. A bad relationship reprograms your neuropathways to seek out similar relationships in the future. She needs to recondition her brain - not just to take a good hard look in the mirror.

Lynn LaFountain has been soul transference channeling D'Hartma since the early 1970s for people throughout the world.
This type of channeling that she does is called Soul Transference. During the session, her soul trades places with an entity who no longer inhabits this plane of existence. Lynn must go into a deep state of meditation in order to allow this exchange to take place. She will do this LIVE on our show today. D'Hartma will take your questions LIVE.
D'hartma's last incarnation was lived in Nepal in 968A.D. He chose to learn and grow on the other side of existence, where he moved through the dimensions to become a seventh dimensional Master Guide.
His messages to individuals help them learn to become self-empowered and master their own destinies.

For the second time on Spaced Out Radio, Monique Wilson (www.moniquewilson.ca) brings her soothing, loving voice of healing and hope to our airwaves. Monique has a blended gift, of being spiritually conscious, a clinical hypnotherapist, and a First Nations Shaman. The last time she was on Spaced Out Radio, Monique shared with us a very professional and thorough discussion about Reiki and healing naturally. This time around, we want to get in touch with her First Nations side.
Monique will chat with us about Shamanism, and how we could learn a thing or two about our hearts, souls, and the Earth itself if we took the time to listen to the cultures that were here on North America first. Monique will teach us about healing tools and how a healthy mind, body and soul can create a happy state of life for all of us, in this crazy world we currently live in.
