Bob Darby, Advocate for Homeless People #4

    in Politics Progressive

BOB DARBY, ADVOCATE FOR THE HOMELESS  - Thursdays, 3:00 p.m. EST ~ War on Homeless People in USA - Darby has been an advocate for the homeless for more than twenty years.  Please call to speak on air at (347) 857-3293 for all broadcasts. He has a B.A. in psychology from Emory University. Darby also studied in psychology and theology in graduate school. He is a former employee of Georgia Regional Hospital, Boston State Hospital, and New Hampshire's Hanover-Darthmouth Hospital. In 1994, he co-founded Atlanta Food Not Bombs. Darby is a writer and public speaker, who bravely covers subjects such as eugenics and the homeless. He also exposes how drug trafficking by U.S. officials contributes to homelessness, imprisonment and deaths of marginalized people. LAPD killed a homeless, mentally ill black man days ago. See the video http://youtu.be/YO0FG4-tMe8

Darby asserts drug additions that lead to homelessness were partly facilitated by the CIA, which began trafficking herion, crack and other drugs into America years ago, sometimes inside the corpses of deceased American soldiers. He cites documented proof from government records and books by respected journalists. Bob also asserts that people with serious mental illness are deliberately rendered homeless in the United States of America and deprived of psychiatric and medical health care services.

Voters should petition elected officials to improve treatment and subsistence assistance for mentally ill people and those with substance abuse issues. Please use this link to contact your elected officials:

Why must you know your Ayurvedic body Type to achieve optimal health?

    in Health

What is Ayurveda? Ayurveda is composed of two words. Ayur means Life, and Veda means Knowledge. Thus, Ayurveda deals with how to live a healthy, balanced life. It is a traditional, holistic system of health science from India, which has been practiced for over 5,000 years.

According to Ayurveda there are three main body types also known as doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Based on your body type, you’ll be able to understand how you function mentally, emotionally and physically in relation to your overall body type.

Wouldn’t be nice to understand your body, its function so you can make the right choice for your body type instead of building dependencies on products that mask your symptoms? Let’s support our body’s own ability to achieve optimal health and build self-sufficiency rather than dependency on any products. In Ayurveda, this is best done with the knowledge of your Body Type. Each of us have a mixture of the qualities of Kapha, Pitta or Vata.

Our Guest Dr. Shekhar is an ayurvedic doctor who was classically trained in India and has been practicing and teaching Ayurveda worldwide since 1988. He is the Founder/Director of Ojas, an Ayurveda Wellness Center in PA. Founder & Medical Director at the International Institute of Integrative Medicine. Founder/President of the:
Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America (AAPNA)

Today we are discussing our body types with the intention to teach some helpful tips to help you balance your body, based on your body type.

COMMON CORE: "ONE SIZE FITS ALL"- WHAT YOU REALLY SHOULD KNOW

    in Current Events

What is Common Core?  Who developed Common Core?  Does it really ensure that all students graduate from high school with skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in college, career and life?  How is it possible that an “Education in a box” with a “one size fits all mentality” … can really work for individual students?  How deeply connected is Common core on the Federal level vs State level?  Does the Federal Government govern the Common Core State Standards?  How much will it cost the states to implement the Common Core State Standards?  And, what is the connection between Common Core and Islam?

Debbie Barth, and her OTC Panel ... Linda J. Alexander, Eileen Brown, Sandy Estlow, and Bea Kunz … will be tackling this subject that seems to have more questions, than answers. Whether or not, you have children in school … everyone is affected by the implementation of Common Core, within our school systems, statewide.  This is one show that you don’t want to miss.  In fact we have some callers weighing in, that will definitely get your attention.  What they have to say about Common Core may shock and dismay you.

We invite you … no we ENCOURAGE you to call in at 323-792-3071 (press the number 1 to talk to the host) and give us your opinions of Common Core, and your personal experiences.

    KMnm/a day to be remembered-G-D is Greater-rejoice

    in Religion

Where is home?  Could it be the peace of mind?  When do we get this peace of mind?  Could it be when we leave this material world and its responsibilities?  Whereever it is, one thing is for sure; The Almighty is aware and Greater than anything we can think of,  We are here, where ever here may be, for a short while to connect with the material world mentally, emotionally, and physically.
