Welcome to Export Success, a weekly 30 minute online radio blog with one goal: To help you grow your business by succeeding in the global marketplace. I’m the host of Export Success, Dr. Robert Letovsky
Did you know that average daily turnover in the global foreign exchange market is almost $4.0 trillion? That’s more than 12 times the average daily turnover of global equity markets, 50 times the average daily turnover of the New York Stock Exchange, and on an annual basis, more than 10 times world GDP If you’re a small or mid-sized exporter doing business in U.S. dollars, you may think that this has nothing to do with you. Think again! Changes in the value of the U.S. dollar in global markets can have a major impact – positive or negative – on foreign demand for your product/service, as well as on your cost structure, cash flow and profit margins.
On this week’s edition of Export Success, I’ll be speaking with Michael O’Hare, Vice President, Foreign Exchange for TD Bank, based in Boston MA. Mike will draw on his 20 plus years of experience in foreign exchange to explain how the market can affect your business, and what your company can do to protect its export sales against changes in the value of the U.S. dollar.
So join me on Monday, August 5, 2013 @ 3:30 pm EST to find out how your company can head off surprises from the forex market and use the market to boost your export business.

Some will order the event on pay-per-view, some will not. Many will watch through alternative means or go to fight parties. After Saturday, all will look for a new statement on the legacy of the victor, for better or worse.
On the best Saturday in sports, the high stakes playoff games of the NBA and NHL, the intrigue of baseball, the shoehorned "me too!" end of the NFL Draft and the Kentucky Derby are actually preludes to a historic evening in Las Vegas.
On a Wednesday edition of The Exchange, Sumit and Jason are joined by The Sports Fan Journal's boxing and MMA columnist Paul Navarro as they will discuss the welterweight megafight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao. They will not only dive into their observations of the fight itself, but the controversies around it. With boycott calls as well as the well-sourced Deadspin article regarding Mayweather's history with domestic violence, what will still end up being the most lucrative fight card in boxing history is also one with an omnipotent morality play.
They will also discuss where the sport has been trending with its increased presence on television thanks Al Haymon's multi-channel Premier Boxing Champions series.

We're up to part two of The Sisterhood Exchange book club. Part one explored our relationship with ourself via the Sisterhood of Self (S.O.S.). It was important to begin there because in addition to determining our quality of life, our S.O.S. also informs how we interact with other women - those we know and those we don't.
Tonight's episode introduces Sister to Sister and explains how your relationship with yourself, including your self-talk, whether you practice self-forgiveness, spend time with yourself in the silence, etc., determines your relationship with other women. Your S.O.S. determines whether you engage in gossip and betrayal or whether you're supportive and genuine.
Call in and share your experiences with other women. How do they treat you? How do you treat them?
Dial 646-595-2081 to get in on the discussion.
In the first hour of the show, Linda Haywood will discuss the book African Americans in US Foreign Policy.
The second half of the show is devoted to a open dialogue about the current situation in Baltimore with my guest Dr, Stephany Rose.
