    Broken, Mended, Made Whole

    in Christianity

Isaiah 57:15 says this,  For thus says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, "I dwell on a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite. And the truth be known,  God loves us so much he will allow us to hit our rock bottom if it means finding Him. Sometimes I must get honest with myself and say I at times don't really want to be broken. Somehow that just sounds like losing or second best, our flesh gets in the way and says we don't need fixing, mending, trials, suffering or difficultiies to help us draw close to Almighty God. The real question is where will I go to get answers for my own brokenness? Because true colors are revealed when we go through those fiery trials of life. They let us know where we stand in our faith in God and where we are in our walk with Him. It often leaves us spiritually naked and in need of more than we can offer ourselves. We turn to other vices to help sooth the pain such as alcohol, drugs or ography. When God only wants whats best for us he will at times allow pain and difficulty to deepen our relationship with Him and be broken, mended and made whole....Thats His plan.

"The Flava" featuring Leevance Williams Sr

    in Radio

Tonight we will be featuring a great inspiraional speaker Leevance Williams Sr. Come and join us for this hour of inspiration.

    About our feature:

Following a life of trials and tribulations, Author Leevance Williams eventually embarked upon a triumphant, enlightened path that led him to write his first book entitled, “From the Depths of My Soul”. Williams hopes his poetic words are taken from parts of his life and impact those who read them in such a way that gives them hope, wisdom and strength. Those ideas are key elements that enable his readers to push forward through troubled times and more importantly, to persevere through both rainy and sunny days. Williams reminds his readers there is no progress without struggle; he manages to take this concept to a whole new level. Williams also talks about a great life of sunny days and white picket fences, while reminding his readers that even though the sun rises in the morning, it also sets in the evening – further, that while the white picket fences are “white”, they also have to be maintained so they do not succumb to erosion due to the harsh elements of “life”. “From the Depths of My Soul” is an exemplary sample of Williams’ storytelling ability, as well as a foreshadowing of his future work. Williams’ fans can look forward to much more to come in the future. Williams has additional projects on deck, which will demonstrate his absolute progression as not only an author, but as a man who is most certainly coming into his own.

Standing in the Fire; How do I Suffer with Christ Jesus? Part 2

    in Religion

These trials are only to test you faith, to see whether or not it is strong and pure in Christ Jesus. (1 Peter 1:6-7) 6-In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials, 7-These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Situation don't come to make you fall but to teach you to lead on God. We see that the enemy tries to get the people of God to bow as in the case of the 3 Hebrew boys... Dan. 3.23 says...He commanded that the furnace be heated seven times hotter than usual. But I come to tell you today don't bow to the enemy don't bow to the world system Stand in God. Put on the whole armor of God and Stand People.

Friends and Family Day at Eagles Life - Game Day - Put on the Full Armor of God Eph. 6:13

Ephesians 6:13 says "'... wherefore take unto you the whole Armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand... Stand! The cares and difficulties of this life sometimes make it hard to focus and keep your feet solidly on stable ground. But the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit gives us the power to stand in spite of. We stand on the word of God and not our own so therefore our foundation is sure and secure. This man and woman of God are coming to slam dunk and ring focus back to the Team... Team Jesus". Wearing our favorite team Jersies or T' shirts in the spirit if the game we are ready for "Tip Off" at 4:00pm. This "Tag Team" is  off the chain.

Confessions of a D.C. Madam: The Secret World of Washington, DC

    in Current Events

Today's guest is Nick Bryant, co- author of "Confessions of a D.C. Madam".  The book is an autographical account of Henry W. Vinson’s odyssey from the humble origins of Williamson, West Virginia to running the largest gay escort service in Washington, DC by the time he was 26 years old.

This haunting exposé is the first book to tell the tale of sexually blackmailed politicians and government officials in the U.S. by an individual who actually witnessed these sinister maneuverings first-hand. Confessions of a DC Madam proves that there is a clandestine checks-and-balances system in effect within our government—blackmail.

This new book details Vinson’s numerous exchanges with a CIA asset whose specialty was sexually compromising the powerbrokers of Washington, DC, and the trials and tribulations Vinson suffered because he was privy to information that could have produced a seismic political scandal.

Confessions of a DC Madam details the federal government’s illicit, malicious, and relentless attack on Vinson to ensure his silence, which included incarceration rooted in trumped-up charges and outright lies.

Vinson’s story shows the reader the illegal activities the government executes to silence those who are privy to the fact that American politicians and powerbrokers are compromised by their sexual improprieties. This fascinating and shocking facet of government corruption reveals the integral role blackmail plays in American politics and the unbelievable lengths the government perpetrates to silence those in the know.

Nick Bryant is an investigative journalist whose work largely focuses on the
plight of disadvantaged children in the United States. His mainstream and
investigative journalism has been featured in Gear, Playboy, the Reader, and on
    Salon.com.

    GOD'S GIFT SUNDAY #LesaBelle #GospelMusic 323.927.2913

    in Christianity

    Hosted By: Lesa Marie Belle

As we go about our everyday lives, we encounter highs, lows, joy, sadness and various emotions as the world has a tendency to beat us up and bring us joy all at the same time.  Some of us will take the good with the bad & keep it moving. We get home and if we're lucky we have someone to vent to and discuss our hectic day with. So many of us are going through trials and tribulations, health issues, financial troubles, living from paycheck to paycheck, or with no check.   We' re faced with heartache, disappointment, loneliness, anger, and all too often we aren't able to easily shake it off or to talk about it with someone. We keep issues bottled up, maybe because we don't feel comfortable with sharing with others or we fear judgment for the issues we have or the things we're going through. Do you find yourself looking to the heavens and asking " Why me God?"  We've all been there and we all need to be restored! We're seeking answers and questioning "What is going on?"  Mind, body, soul & spirit need restoration.  Lord, please come by here and restore our minds, bodies, souls and spirits.

    Peace & Blessings,

    Lesa M. Belle
