The Business Forum Show has been proud to feature many veteran-owned businesses and business owners. This next owner, Josh Ray of Veteran Beer Company, has found a special niche with hiring veterans.
The Veteran Beer Company was created by a group of veterans to change the momentum in veteran unemployment by providing veterans with meaningful opportunities for post-service careers, creating and selling the finest domestic craft beer in America. Along with employing veterans, 10% of Veteran Beer Company’s profits go to charities that support veterans’ causes.

Winston Churchill once said "To each there comes in their lifetime a special moment when they are figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do a very special thing, unique to them and fitted to their talents. What a tragedy if that moment finds them unprepared or unqualified for that which could have been their finest hour."

Host Kevin Hunter features guest John Leber from Swanson Bark and Wood Products, Inc in Longview, Washington. Swanson Bark and Wood Products is a woodwaste recycling facility.
Here are some thoughts from John:
My advice is to be patient. Don’t get too spun up over any one thing. Life will hand you things that will give you ulcers. How you deal with those things will determine the number of ulcers you end up with.
Have a plan. Figure out what you’re going to sell, who you’re going to sell it to, how you’re going to make it, how much you can sell it for and how much it’s going to cost you to make it. If it doesn’t look like it’s going to work, take a pass and try the next thing. If you keep a positive attitude, there will be a next thing, probably more next things than you can handle. Love life. Share your wisdom
