War of the Words Radio #112: Walker Vivian talks Conflict 29 Pro Muay Thai

    in MMA

    GUEST: Walker Vivian

Conflict 29 stands to be one of the best cards of the year.

Now, I know you’ve heard me say that a few times before, but I had not seen Conflict 29s roster then. Not only is the line up smashing, but the actual event itself has some fantastic perks in its return to Charlestons Memminger Auditorium. In case you have not heard yet, UFC ranked Heavyweight and world class Legend Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski will be in house alongside a ton of regional stars, many which will also be in the cage that night.

The Pro Side of this card displays some of the best around in each division. The Ammy aspect of the card showcases a whole array of upcoming fireballs of the Southeast. The Muay Thai fight matches are just as enticing as any MMA match, and the environment and packed house will amplify all this tenfold. After all, the last Conflict event in Charleston sold out a month in advance.

Join us today on this good Sunday as we sit down with pro fighter Walker Vivian. Slated to clash in a pro Muay Thai match against 2014 KO of the Year winner Mike Hazzard, this fight is every bit as electric as any MMA match this year!

Ruth Otero on Win's Women of Wisdom

    in Motivation

On Win's Women of Wisdom today, Best-Selling Author, Win Kelly Charles welcomes Ruth Otero. She love adventure, international travel, food, stories, and laughing with strangers. Ruth started writing a blog where she get to mix them all together and hopeuth fully inspire you to cook up your own adventures – in your kitchen and your life! Cookin’ Up Adventures was born after her first three week trip to Thailand many years ago.  Until that point the only Thai dish she had eaten was Pad Thai. Ruth was not the most adventurous eater, so she resigned herself to eating Pad Thai for lunch & dinner every day for 3 weeks. In Chiang Mai she signed up for a cooking class and learned about some of the ingredients that make up most of Thai cooking: lemongrass, Kaffir lime, fish sauce, chili, plus some  familiar ingredients like basil, ginger, shallot, and garlic. Then her cooking teacher told Ruth at a restaurant she can always request to have chili or any ingredient, Ruth didn’t like removed from her dish. Ruth let out a sigh of relief knowing the next two and half weeks were going to be a gastronomic breeze! To learn more about Ruth vist http://www.cookinupadventures.com.
