Mayweather vs Pacquiao Is It Really True?

    in Sports

"My focus is Manny Pacquiao, let’s make it happen.”

Mayweather has been more vocal all week and at the WBC Convention told the media on hand that he feels that Manny Pacquiao and Bob Arum don’t want the fight.

“I’m really not sure like I said before,” explained Mayweather. Bob Arum, Manny Pacquiao has been fooling the public for years. I never spoke about the fight. Years later I finally decided to speak about the fight. The first time we didn’t fight because of random blood and urine testing. The second time we didn’t fight because he didn’t want to take the 40 million. Now Bob Arum is trying to throw another excuse out there talking about they don’t want to fight May 2nd. Why not let’s make the fight happen May 2nd.”

Amir Khan vs Devon Alexander Weekend Review

    in Sports

Amir Khan won a convincing 12-round unanimous decision victory over Devon Alexander in a matchup of two of the fastest welterweights in the world on Saturday in the main event of SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING® from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The impressive victory was nearly a shutout, with Khan winning 119-109, 118-110 and 120-108 to remain undefeated at 147 pounds and extend his winning streak against southpaws to seven.Tim Bradley Jr. returned to the ring tonight and took on rugged Argentine Diego Chaves at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

A night of controversy continued in the main event as the judges scored the fight 116-112 Chaves, 115-113 Bradley, and 114-114 a split draw. The idea that anyone could give 8 rounds to Chaves is ludicrous especially coming from Julie Lederman one of the best judges in the sport in my opinion.

Bradley looked tremendous to start the fight very sharp with crisp punches. His legs looked great and his defense was on point. He landed flush shots on Chaves, boxing very effectively through the first 3 rounds. Chaves had moments of effectiveness during exchanges.

David Lemieux vs Gabriel Rosado Post Fight Review

    in Sports

A crowd of 6,532 at Barclays Center were treated to a special performance from two warriors Saturday night as David Lemieux (33-2, 31 KOs)stopped “King” Gabriel Rosado (21-9, 13 KOs)in the 10th round of a very competitive main event on HBO Boxing After Dark.

The Montreal-native Lemieux retained his NABF Middleweight title while displaying the incredible power that has put the entire middleweight division on

Welterweight sensation and Puerto Rican star, Thomas Dulorme (22-1, 14 KOs) won a hard fought split decision victory against tough Philly fighter Hank Lundy (25-4-1, 12 KOs). The bout was televised as part of a triple header headlined by Lemieux vs. Rosado.

Dulorme started off strong landing a powerful right hand on Lundy’s temple, putting him down in round one. The momentum carried over into the middle rounds as Lundy had no answers.

David Lemieux vs Gabriel Rosado preview show

    in Sports

Gabriel Rosado (21-8, 13 KO) will get another shot to prove his durability when he faces the powerful Canadian middleweight David Lemieux (32-2, 30 KO) on Saturday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York (HBO, 10 p.m. ET/PT).

Rosado has a new trainer in Jesse Reid and is coming into this bout as confident as he has ever been after his knockout victory over Brian Vera on Big Knockout Boxing. Can it carry over into December 6?

David Lemieux is riding a seven-bout win streak after suffering two-back-to-back defeats, including a seventh round stoppage loss against Marco Antonio Rubio, who was most recently destroyed by Gennady Golovkin, who has also stopped Gabriel Rosado. Six of Lemieux's past seven victories have come by way of KO, including five within the first three rounds.

Gbriel Rosado is no Fernando Guerrero, despite taking a loss against the latter six years ago in an eight-round bout. Styles make fights and Rosado is one tough fighter. Without further ado, it is time to let the prediction do the talking. This bout is a non-title bout, scheduled for 12 rounds. We will with out a shadow of a doubt be taking live calls on air from you the voice of the people. Terence Crawford vs Raymundo Beltran Post Fight Review

    in Sports

Terence Crawford (25-0, 17 KOs) the Omaha, Nebraskan native put on a dominating performance in front of his home crowd, to retain his WBO light welterweight title. Given the fact his opponent was Raymundo Beltran (29-7, 17 KOs), one of the top fighters in the lightweight division, Crawford’s masterful performance certainly makes him a top contender for fighter of the year honors.

Tyson Fury now improves his undefeated record (23-0, 17 KOs) by stopping the overly matched Dereck Chisora (20-5, 13 KOs). The mismatch was evident from the opening bell.

Fury used his height and reach to keep Chisora at a distance, and constantly peppered him with jabs, and combinations from the outside.

Billy Joe Saunders (21-0, 11 Kos) gets a hard fought split decision victory over Chris Eubank Jr. (18-1, Kos 13). In boxing there is nothing more exciting than two young undefeated fighters in their prime, giving it their all, and that’s what happened in the Excel Arena.

In the first half of the fight Saunders and Eubank Jr. got into a technical fight, both trying to measure and outwit each other. Eubank Jr. is a decent boxer, but was clearly outmatched from a technical standpoint by Saunders. We will with out a shadow of a doubt be taking live calls on air from you the voice of the people. Manny Pacquiao vs Christopher Algieri Post Fight Review

    in Sports

Manny Pacquiao’s  aura of invincibility and dominance in the sport of boxing  continues after his outstanding performance in Macau, China. Chris Algieri did provide Pacquiao with a bit of a puzzle to solve in the early rounds, but eventually Pacquiao made the necessary adjustments to completely outclass his opponent.

From the opening bell Algieri remained tentative of avoiding any of Pacquiao’s power shots. He constantly used lateral movement, and Pacquiao had a difficult time cutting off the ring. Algieri was trying to get in a rhythm but accidentally slipped and the referee counted it as a knockdown. Algieri seemed flustered, but this was just the start of bad things to come. Manny Pacquiao vs Christopher Algieri Pre fight Preview

    in Sports

12-round Welterweight title fight between WBO Welterweight titlist Manny Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38 KOs) and undefeated fast-rising challenger Chris Algieri (20-0, 8 KOs), who started the year off with a February win over Emanuel Taylor on ESPN Friday Night Fights. The fight, from the Venetian Macao’s Cotai Arena in Macau, China, will be produced and distributed live by HBO-Pay-Per-View on Saturday Nov. 22, at 9 p.m. ET

Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao is determined to fight pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather before he hangs up his gloves.

The two biggest names in boxing have so far failed to meet in the ring despite years of calls from fight fans for the pair to get it on to determine the undoubted number one in the welterweight division.

Now, ahead of his battle with the skilled Chris Algieri this weekend, Pacquiao has made clear his intentions in setting up the richest prize fight in boxing history against the majestic Mayweather.

“I do have one specific goal and that is to give the boxing fans the fight they have always asked for – I want the fight too” said Pacquiao, speaking on Mayweather.

“I believe good faith negotiations could produce that fight. But it is impossible to negotiate when you are the only one sitting at the table. Two fighters who want to fight each other have never been kept from fighting each other,” he said. We will be taking live calls on air from you the voice of the people. Manny Pacquiao vs Christopher Algieri Undercard Review

    in Sports

On Saturday night, Manny Pacquiao will face Chris Algieri on HBO PPV, but on the undercard a bout looms that may focus more on where the division is going. Jessie Vargas will defend his WBA world lightweight title against Antonio DeMarco in what could be a coup de gras for who faces Pacquiao next if he is able to win.

Vargas has silently become a champion and built up a bit of hatred along the way, mostly unfairly. It essentially started as hatred and jealously in the begining as he was alined with Mayweather Promotions fighting on major pay-per-views for abnormal sums of money early in his career. Featherweight titlist Vasyl Lomachenko will make his first defense in one of the featured bouts on the undercard. Top Rank promoter Bob Arum made the announcement of Lomachenko's defense against mandatory challenger Chonlatarn Piriyapinyo at a news conference at the Venetian Macao that kicked off a six-city, 12-day media tour that will cover 27,273 miles in two countries, China and the United States. We will with out a shadow of a doubt be taking live calls on air from you the voice of the people.
