Jane and Jon start the show telling how they have techno hazards at the atm, new phone devices and accidental texting. How it can get one in trouble and how it can happen so fast. They then shift gears and Jane discusses an article by Jim Hightower about the Marriott Inn, low wages and how they expect customers to tip housemaids for the compensation of low wages vs. just getting a raise. The debate filters out to profit v. capability of corporations giving raises based on fair market values. Bob thinks high rent cannot sustain a single family dwelling and how wages don't match rent prices. They end the show with some mixed feelings on these subjects.

WHO AM I?
One of the most important things that any of us are forced to answer is the question of who am I? It is a question that reflects so much about each of us from our historical background, ancestry, heritage, upbringing, socialization, and where we project ourselves in the future. Unfortunately, there has been a recent rash of notable young African-Americans, or Blacks, who have publicly renounced their African-American status.
The alluded to individuals include a roster of notable African-Americans: Zoe Saldana, Keyshia “I’m biracial” Coles, Tiger “Cablinasian” Woods, Devyn Adbullah, and Raven Symone, to name a few.

Where do you begin when you try to analyze all the issues going on in the world today? Inequality of every kind (Financial, educational, racial, gender ) is rampant, escalating violence, and perpetual war all plague mankind. We are inundated with negative imagery and rhetoric reinforcing ideas that keep us from discussing and solving the issues that keep us divided. Often times these issues are manufactured or made to seem more important than they really are, the time we waste arguing and hurting each other would be better spent talking to and learning about each other, what better way to get to the root of our issues. Undoubtedly we would discover that we are all much more alike than we are different. Our age old prejudices now have a new high tech ally, the digital age has brought much progress but it has also created a digital divide that is rapidly making this a very impersonal world. Talking has been replaced by texting, love letters by email, and date night is now Skype Night. Can’t we all just talk face to face? Join us this Sunday, October 5th from 2p-4p CDT and let us reason together. Log on at www.blogtalkradio.com/rapsessions or call 347.857.2097. Remember family, if you miss us you miss out!
