State of the Young Black Man 2016

    in Motivation

It's our second annual State of the Young Black Man address with Entrepreneur Marquis Coates and Young Activist Caleb Jackson.

If your not a young man, this will be a most enlivening, informational, and engaging address for your little brother, nephew, and any parents of young men.

How do we show them that school is not a right now job, but the foundation of your future? How do we keep them in school?

Despite making up just 13% of the population, blacks commit around half of homicides in the United States. Where do we start? Turning criminals into students and upstanding citizens sounds like an impossible charge.. but it's possible; we have to believe it is, but how? How is it possible?

Also, how do we become better young black fathers, realistically and perceptionally?

Entrepreneur Marquis Coates and Young Activist Caleb Jackson will be rejoining us for a compelling panel discussion!

Green Bay Packers report card 2015 - Secondary

    in Sports

There are a number of pieces that attribute to a good pass defense, but having good secondary play is essential. The Green Bay Packers addressed a need by drafting two young cornerbacks, Damarious Randall and Quinten Rollins. Both played meaningful minutes throughout the year. They joined a veteran group with Sam Shields, Micah Hyde, Morgan Burnett, and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.

The Packers pass defense finished the year allowing 227.6 yards per game which ranked sixth in the league. They finished ninth in the league with 16 interceptions. The 72 passes defensed ranked 16th.

After a solid year, the one memory that many Packer fans will have is Sam Shields breaking on a Carson Palmer pass that would have been an interception and possibly a pick six, but the ball fell harmlessly to the ground. In overtime, a broken play left Larry Fitzgerald wide open as he scampered downfield.

This young secondary should only improve in the upcoming years.
