Oren M. Levin-Waldman, Ph.D., Professor, Graduate School for Public Affairs and Administration at The Metropolitan College of New York, has just written "Minimum Wage Supporters Need to Learn How to Socialize Conflict" which dissects the famous work by political scientist E.E. Schattsschneider work in "The Semisovereign People," which describes two sides to a conflict, those involved, the actors, and those sitting on the sidelines, the spectators. We'll learn the role each plays in the dynamic of life, politics, and, yes, the minimum wage. Enjoy an hour that reveals much in the palatable approach expressed by the professor who opens the hour this Wednesday, July 29, 2015 @ 10am

Married couples often seek to correct each other, not realizing what they say and do may be hurtful. We'll examine three cases today: in the first one, a husband is concerned about his wife's obesity, and his intention is to remind her to stick to a diet, but his constant, public reminders about her weight only makes her feel humiliated. In the second case, the wife, a college professor, keeps correcting her husband's grammar. He is head of a community organization a often is asked to speak, but sometimes mispronounces words. She says she's trying to help him. He says she's arrogant and condescending.
She says he is insulting and cruel. He says he's merely trying to keep her healthy. In the second case, the wife, a college professor, keeps correcting her husband's grammar. As head of a community organization, he's often asked to do public speaking, sometimes mispronounces wordss or uses incorrect grammar She says she's only trying to help his career. He says she's arrogant and condescending. In the third case, the husband says he is uncomfortable because his wife is always ignoring him and striking up a conversation with strange men whenever they go out in public. The wife says she is just friendly, and her husband is not a talker, so when they go out to dinner or an event, he's just sitting quietly, and she doesn't want to be bored. How do you think each couple should resolve their conflict.?
3 The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?”
4 And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made[a] them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’[b] 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?[c] 6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”
7 They said to Him, “Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?”
8 He said to them, “Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. 9 And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality,[d] and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery.”

Proverbs 18:20-24 (KJV)
20 A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.
23 The poor useth intreaties; but the rich answereth roughly.
24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

The son of Nashville wrestling promoter Jerry Jarrett, Double J began his career as a referee, and was introduced to WWE audiences in 1993 as an obnoxious country singer, Double J draped himself in garish, light up clothing and capped off all his interviews by spelling out his full name and asking, “Ain’t I great?” His shtick could be grating, but his success was undeniable as he wrestled the Intercontinental Title away from Razor Ramon on more than one occasion.
Jarrett’s musician act unraveled when it was revealed that The Roadie (who would later gain his own fame as Road Dogg) had performed the vocals on Double J’s “hit” song “With My Baby Tonight.” The humiliation sent Jarrett running to WCW where he would act as both a Four Horseman and a Four Horseman turncoat during a year with the company.
Jarrett’s reinvention as a tough, Southern villain during WWE’s “Attitude Era” has largely been forgotten — although a partnership with Owen Hart was as entertaining as it was successful — but he had a run of luck with the persona in WCW. Double J didn’t make it back to WWE after the 2001 buyout of WCW — in fact, he was publicly fired by Mr. McMahon on the final Raw before WrestleMania X-Seven. But Jarrett continues to play an influential role in sports-entertainment as both a promoter and a persona to this day. Creating TNA Wrestling with his father Jerry and then most recently Global Force Wrestling with his wife Karen. We discuss all this and so much more tonight.
