Tonight on the Rod Eccles Show, Rod talks about freedom and what it truly is and why the FCC decision to regulate the Internet is a decision against freedom. It will change how you access and interact with the World Wide Web. And thats not a good thing. Plus Rod talks about DHS funding and why he knew that the GOP would not stand on its tough guy posture even though they had the upper hand against the Dems. Plus a whole lot more.
Senate Republicans surrender on Obamnesty - are their House counterparts far behind? If so, there might be a new Speaker in the not too distant future; Obamnesty is creating chaos - precisely as its namesake intended; As threatened, the FCC seizes the Internet for Barack Obama; The Obama Regime’s nuclear sellout to the Iranian mullagarchy is a disaster, and it's sparking a bidding war for the good graces of the craziest regime on Earth; and, even worse, making war - nuclear war - inevitable.

Mike and Joyce speak with Laura Castillo, Executive Director of FivePMinus.org, helping families affected by Cri du Chat (Cat Cry) Syndrome (CdCs).
Babies born with CdCs are characterized at birth by a high-pitched cry, low birth weight, poor muscle tone, microcephaly, and potential medical complications. "5p-" is a term used by geneticists to describe a portion of the short arm of chromosome number five that is missing in these individuals. Some of the facial characteristics include:
Round "moon shaped" face
Small upturned nose at birth
Small or low set chin (micrognathis)
Low positioned ears
Downward slanting of the eyes
Wide spaced eyes
Extra skin fold at the inner corner of one or both eyes (epicanthal fold)
These facial features usually elongate as the child enters adulthood. Children with CdCs are often also diagnosed with autism since many of the developmental issues are similar.
There is a great deal of good information on this syndrome on their website. See especially http://www.fivepminus.org/Development
Laura shares with us the origins of the 5p- Society, the national family support group for individuals with Cri du Chat Syndrome. They group shares expeerience and provides support to individuals and families affected by CdCs, sharing strategies for managing the syndrome and supporting their children in achieving his or her maximum potential Children with Cri du Chat Syndrome can lead full and meaningful lives with love and support.

We'll salute the sacrifices, dreams, hopes and opportunities of African Americans from Phyllis Wheatley to Dr. Ralph David Abernathy to Rev. Karla Cooper who represent the best of our race.
Black History IS American History. And today's show pays tribute to why it should matter to ALL people throughout the land.

‘We cannot win this war by killing them’, Marie Harf said on MSNBC. Reversing thousands of years of battlefield experience in which wars were won by ‘killing them,’ the State Department spokeswoman argued that you can't defeat ISIS by killing its fighters. ‘We cannot kill our way out of this war,’ she said. ‘We need in the medium and longer term to go after the root causes that lead people to join these groups, whether it is lack of opportunity for jobs . . .’

3. a course of instruction or study ........?
“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. (Matthew 6:1-4)
Our guests this morning are Eric Pendergraft of AES and Redondo Beach Mayor Steve Aspel.
Steve Aspel is currently serving as the 29th Mayor of the City of Redondo Beach, having won the
election in May 2013.
Steve began his public service career in 1998 as a Planning Commissioner. In 2005, he was elected to the
Redondo Beach City Council representing District 1 for a 4 year term. He was successfully re-elected in
2009 for another 4 years.
Eric Pendergraft is currently responsible for AES's business development activities in California, which
include plans to modernize several existing natural-gas fired generating plants, and the development of
the world’s largest battery storage system. These new development projects will be built at the
Company’s existing power plant sites in Los Angeles and Orange County.
Eric is also leading the effort to transform the Redondo Beach waterfront by giving the voters the
opportunity to phase out the existing AES power plant and eliminate all future industrial uses on the
property forever. Measure B would rezone the 50-acres of land where the AES power plant now
operates, changing it from “industrial” to “residential" and “mixed-use” and allowing the development
of an attractive harbor-side village.
Eric joined the company in 1998 when AES purchased three power plants in the greater Los Angeles
areas from Southern California Edison, where he previously worked.
