Road Map 4 Seeker's with Guest Joesph B. Carringer Didgeridoo Sound Therapist

    in Spirituality

Didgeridoo sound therapy is a holistic health and healing modality used for adjunct, supportive and primary treatment of a wide range of health and wellness issues.
    - Joseph B. Carringer Didgeridoo Sound Therapist

Didgeridoo sound therapy also known as "didgeridoo harmonic therapy" is the application of sound generated by the didgeridoo over a client with the intention of producing healing results. The term harmonic references the broad range of harmonic frequencies that the didgeridoo is capable of producing. This practice is also commonly referred to as "didgerdioo sound healing", but in typical sound healing practices there is less attention paid to the keys and frequencies of the instruments and the focus leans heavily on the intention of the practice.

The didgeridoo helps people to achieve healing results through principles ultrasound therapy, energetic entrainment and meditation through the production of tones that range from the ultra low inaudible of 0hertz to the 1000hertz (2-20hertz is the same frequency of human brain waves - see table below). These harmonic waveforms resonate in a similar frequency to that of the Sanskirt Om.

Dr. Craig Malkin debuts Rethinking Narcissism

    in Lifestyle

“What is Narcissism?” is one of the fastest-rising searches on Google, and articles on the topic routinely go viral. Yet the word “narcissism” seems to mean something different every time it’s uttered. In fact, the more it’s slung about, the more slippery its true meaning becomes. The only certainty, it would seem, is that it’s bad to be a narcissist—really bad. for millennials, been branded “the most narcissistic generation ever.”

In RETHINKING NARCISSISM (HarperWave – on sale July 7), Dr. Craig Malkin—a Harvard Medical School-affiliated psychologist with more than two decades of clinical experience—offers a radically new model for understanding this often misused term. Narcissism, argues Dr. Malkin, is essentially a spectrum of self-importance— and everyone falls somewhere on the scale between utter selflessness and total arrogance.

Yet there are also those who live at the lower end of the spectrum—termed “echoists” by Dr. Malkin.
Drawing on his own research as well as the latest findings in psychology, Dr. Malkin explains why it’s essential to embrace some degree of narcissism in order to maintain a healthy sense of self-worth. Using a new diagnostic tool—the Narcissism Test—Dr. Malkin guides readers through the process of measuring.

Dr. Craig Malkin is an author, clinical psychologist, and Instructor of Psychology for Harvard Medical School with two decades of experience helping individuals, couples, and families. His insights on relationships have been appeared in Psychology Today, Marie Claire, and Women’s and Men’s Health mags.

Planned Parenthood Under Attack - Again

    in Politics Progressive

Two weeks ago, a shadowy group the Center for Medical Progress released a deceptively edited "sting" video against Planned Parenthood, which has become the opening salvo in yet another battle to defund the non-profit provider of reproductive health services. This week, the GOP in the Senate unveiled a bill that they hope will "ACORN" the group once and for all. MOMocrats Cynematic, Karoli, and Donna Schwartz Mills weigh in. An Hour With Keith Handy

    in Comedy

Keith Handy has been composing, arranging, performing, recording, and producing original music since his childhood in the early 1980s, primarily, but not exclusively, in the style of progressive or "art" rock, including several concept albums and a rock opera.

Early on, he functioned primarily as keyboard player and support vocalist for various original and cover bands, but soon decided it was more important to focus on continued artistic growth than to navigate the internal politics of band membership. He started acquiring recording gear, learning the guitar, and going ever deeper with the crafts of arrangement and production.

In line with Keith's passion for the continual study of the creative process in all forms, he has since branched out into improv comedy (incorporating copious amounts of improvised music), computer art, programming in C++ for generative art and signal processing, puppetry and puppet making, and video editing.

Still a studio hermit, his long term goal is to make the bulk of his work available as a "box set" type multimedia package, as well as have a chunk of that collection visually interpreted as video and theatre.

When not immersed in all this complicated stuff, he is happy to drink a beer or two and play a few old songs on an acoustic guitar at your backyard fire.

Judgement Creates the illusions of life?

    in Spirituality

Many Masters and teachers thoguth out time have said to us do ot judge? Yet we still do and it is my sense that we are conditioned to do this. When we pass any form of judgement all we see is what we have judged not what we are truly witnessing. I use witnessing with full intention for we are here to witness ourselves and our lives. As we judge we actually judge oursleves in that life. Judging takes us away from our full experience. Judging also has the ability to limit our lives. If we judge ourselves as human then how may we experience our own divinity. Divine is not limited but human is? If one lives in an objective manner then they will aways see life as it is not as it isn't? This and so much more on this weeks show. Join Liara and Steven for a light and lively conversation.
