Stacy was born and raised in Connecticut and earned a Bachelors of Science from Bryant University with a concentration in Marketing and Psychology. But it was during her junior year when studying in London that she realized she had bigger plans than to just earn a degree and get a job; she wanted to see the world. After landing her ‘dream job’ as a fashion buyer in Manhattan, she began to crave something more than the ‘dog-eat-dog’ environment that surrounded her. Although, passionate about fashion & design, Stacy knew she wanted something of more substance, something more impactful. She soon landed an exciting position and became the global director of public relations for an international best-selling author/business guru. This opportunity allowed Stacy to travel extensively opening her eyes and mind to new ideas and challenges, fascinating people, diverse cultures, but most importantly the pleasure of touching and making a difference in other lives.
A trip to India in 2004 proved pivotal forever changing Stacy’s life and thus began her inward journey toward self-realization. Soon after her return from India she began to manifest all the dreams that were shelved for so many years working to ‘get ahead’. Stacy later met and married a kindred soul, moved to beautiful Cape Cod, hung up her corporate career and took a leap of faith to become an entrepreneur dedicated to changing lives.

Thousands of college students across the country on Thursday joined protests demanding that their schools do more to address racism and discrimination on campus. Students at many campuses are calling for an increase in the diversity of faculty and more resources to help minority students succeed. The data suggests that they have a point: Colleges across the country are far less diverse than the communities they serve.
The protests began at the University of Missouri, where top administrators resigned Monday following weeks of student strikes and demonstrations, and at Yale, where students have engaged in public verbal battles with faculty over racial insensitivity. At Claremont McKenna College in California, student demonstrations and a hunger strike forced the dean of students to resign Thursday. At Ithaca College in upstate New York, students are demanding the resignation of the college’s president over his handling of racial issues on campus. And colleges across the country are scrambling to schedule forums, convene task forces or find other ways to address rising student unrest.

Terence “Bud” Crawford (27-0, 19KOs) gave his hometown crowd a real show in the main event of HBO’s World Championship Boxing at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Crawford’s opponent, Dierry Jean (29-2), did everything he could to make it competitive, which resulted in an entertaining fight with random outbursts of high-level excitement.
Jean looked good in the early part of round one as he countered well and did not allow his offense to be exploited by Crawford’s athleticism. Crawford struggled to find a rhythm, but it was a difficulty with his hands finding a home, opposed his fantastic footwork being an issue in setting up his offense.
I would not call Jean aggressive in the first, evident by his 7 punches landed total in that round, but he was the aggressor by comparisons to Crawford. It was a close enough round, and one that Jean made more about him based on expectations coming in, until Crawford landed a beautiful counter right hand that sent Jean to the mat.
