The Celtics need a new coach, someone who is OK with taking over a rebuilding team. If they want to look down the road to Framingham and across the globe to Tel Aviv, there is a strong candidate who has yearned for an NBA head coaching job for years. He is David Blatt of Maccabi Tel Aviv, an American expatriate who has been coaching the Russian national team since the middle of the last decade. Blatt grew up in Framingham, Mass. but has been living overseas since graduating from Princeton, where he was a college teammate of former Knicks executive Steve Mills. No word yet on whether Dany Ainge might consider him, as the Celtics and Clippers are still waiting for details of Rivers' coaching contract to be finalized.
There is a whirlwind of "stuff" going on around the world of news and politics!
Is Obamacare on the way out? Court says yes (in so many words). Another court says no (in so many words). What now?
Certain people thingk the no-fly zone placed over Tel Aviv does not apply to them. My question is why was there a 24 hour limitation placed over the airport?
These topics and more coming up "In the Pickle Barrel" at 7AM-8:30AM EST. Hope you will koin in the conversation.

Israel deploys Iron Dome battery to protect Tel Aviv. According to the Jerusalem Post, The army recently stationed a battery of the Iron Dome system in the Dan region, as part of an aerial defense exercise against a simulated rocket attack on greater Tel Aviv. The IDF emphasized that the drill is not operational and does not involve the firing of interception rockets, but is merely a technical test planned in advance, aimed at practicing rapid deployment of the system. Nevertheless, the exercise is an indication of preparations by the military for additional confrontations with Gazan terrorist organizations.
