THE PSYCHOLOGICAL EFFECT ON TEENS AND CHILDREN WHO PARENTS ARE INCARCERATED

    in Social Networking

On any given day in America, it is estimated that more than 1.5 million children have a parent incarcerated in a state or federal prison. And more than 10 million children are living with a parent who has come under some form of criminal justice supervision at some point in the child’s life.

The Annie E. Casey foundation discovered the compelling needs and circumstances of children with incarcerated parents, such as:

Since 1990, the number of female prisoners had grown by nearly 50 percent; three-quarters of incarcerated women are mothers, and two thirds have children under age 18.
Most law enforcement agencies lack training and protocols on where to place children when a parent is arrested and, often, ultimately incarcerated.
Approximately 10 percent of children with incarcerated mothers and 2 percent of children with incarcerated fathers are in foster care.
There are a disparate impact on minorities, with African-American children nine times more likely and Hispanic children three times more likely than white children to have a parent in prison.
Despite widespread statements that children with incarcerated parents are many times more likely than other children to be incarcerated as adults.
Risk factors such as parental mental illness, parental substance abuse, family violence and poverty were present in many children’s homes and lives prior to their parents’ incarceration.

LYING PEN OF THE SCRIBE / LYING BY OMISSION / MASTERTEACHER33 MONTHLY AUDIO CLUB

    in Religion

    WE ALL HAVE INHERITED LIES

"Even the stork in the sky Knows her seasons; And the turtledove and the swift and the thrush Observe the time of their migration; But My people do not know The ordinance of the LORD. "How can you say, 'We are wise, And the law of the LORD is with us'? But behold, the lying pen of the scribes Has made it into a lie. "The wise men are put to shame, They are dismayed and caught; Behold, they have rejected the word of the LORD, And what kind of wisdom do they have?…      Jer 8:7-9

"My people are fools; they do not know me. They are senseless children; they have no understanding. They are skilled in doing evil; they know not how to do good."   Jer 4:22

A most important and gratifying discovery was made in the beginning of our century. Thanks to the knowledge of Sanscrit, due to English scholars at Calcutta, German philologists, especially M. Bopp, have laid down sure principles, by means of which it is shown that the ancient idioms of Brahmanic India, the different dialects of Persia, the Armenian, many dialects of the Caucasus, the Greek and Latin languages, with their derivatives, the Slavonic, German, and Celtic, form one vast family entirely distinct from the Shemitic group, under the name of Indo-Germanic, or Indo-European.

I have named it "This is Your Chance" Grades 6-12th are eligible to participate and it will be used as a diversion from the juvenile justice system or in lieu of school suspension. Parents must attend family nights and booster sessions. It will be a two-week program and it will be referral based. A certificate of completion will be given at the end of progress. It will consist of our young ones being educated on the dangers of these substances and the genetic dispositions, such as the disease concepts, binge drinking, physical and pyschological symptoms substance use effects an individual. Family practices, school policies on substance use and what the legal consequences can be if violated. Normative behaviors, self-reflection, defense mechanisms, stress and coping skills, refusal skills, anger management, protective and risk factors as well as resiliencey for substance use, present and future impact, healthy alternatives, dating skills, cool to stay in school, job skills.  So, please, this is a campaign to help Teens say NO to drugs/alcohol.

    "LYING on the HOLY SPIRIT!"

    in Spirituality

How many times have we heard someone say, "The Holy Spirit told me to do this, or the Holy Spirit told me to tell you that?" You know right away that the person is lying based upon the revelation they give us! Many Christians are being manipulated by church leaders and other members because of  IGNORANCE.

Lying on the Holy Spirit is a serious offense. It runs a close second to Blaspheme of the HS, which the WOG says is unforgivable. The HS is the most disrespected, cast away, abused and manipulated of the Trinity.

This morning on P2T we are goin' in on those folks who keep lying on the HS!
