Celebrate Autumn with family fun. Hands-on participation in good times together provides a sense of belonging and value for children. Fall is full of possibilities for being together and enjoying situations where parents and children can delight in doing things together. In the process, children know they belong and will collect more pieces to build their positive self-image. Kas has written three books with fall and Halloween ideas for families and children.
Join Kas Winters on The Sneaky Mom Show, the first Wednesday of the month here on Word of Mom Radio for great ways to teach your children without them knowing! Kas always says that "kids learn best when they think they are playing" so find out the ways this "Sneaky Mom" makes that happen! I’m a 32 year old father of 3 children ages 14, 9 and 4. Coincidentally they are Five years apart, no the distance wasn't planned however it works. My oldest has his mother and my younger two children share a mother. I've worked as an Optician for what will be 10 years this upcoming May. In my spare time there is not much I don’t do. Rather it’s going to an amusement park or the observatory with my children or indoor rock climbing that could lead to a game of golf with a friend. The sky is the limit and the adventures are endless. Five years ago I stumbled across poetry or what many would call spoken word. I've written and performed many writings and expressed my feelings on many stages.
If you've got children who are driving age or almost ready to learn how to drive, you'll want to tune-in to this episode of Successipes. Host Lori Wilk will interview the driving school experts about the biggest challenges facing our young people as they prepare for not only their driving tests but as they prepare to be out on our roadways and highways. Most parents worry each and every time they know theire child is getting behind the wheel of a car. As parents we fear not only what our child will do but what they will experience inteacting with friends who join them in the vehicles. We have concerns about what our children will experience as drivers when faced with split second decisions that could change their lives forever or take their lives if not handled appropriately.Call-in and ask your questions and join the conversation at 347.237.5638
Ladies, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but some of you don't have it going on as much as you think. You can dress like a celebrity, sex like a star, and cook like Julia Child, but still lose your man to a Waffle House server.
Why is that? It's because you refuse to pay attention to the things that you do that drive men to drink. Well, the Show Legends and I have the remedy for your problem. There's no need to be a pretty girl who can't seem to find a man any more. You'll learn the following:
How to keep a man happy.
Why being wishy-washy is aggravating.
Emotional manipulation and more!
Also on the show, do you ever stop arguing with your mom? This may apply more to ladies than men, but there are many conflicts between mother and daughter. How do you get through those tough teen years with someone scrutinizing your every move?
This, Zone Coverage, and more on the Talk 2 Q Radio Show!

The Zion Da Fro Show "real teen talk from a real teen perspective."
#Gottoknow: Teen Diaries is a non profit organization that empowers teen girls through career developement and fitness. Teen Diaries was here in Atlanta this past weekend celebrating their 3rd year of "Pretty Girls Sweat" movement. Over 100 girls were in the building exercising with Grammy nominated Keri Hilson and hip hop female group OMG. They encouraged the girls to exercise and talked about the importance of eating right.
Talk It Up: SOG not just men of valor. Rap once again has a new face. This is not your typical urban group. I got an opportunity to see SOG for the first time at the Apache Cafe. If you can imagine, these guys had on camos and dog tags when they hit the stage. Everybody was looking around just to see what these dudes were about to do. Suddenly the beat dropped and SOG shut it down. OMG ...for SOG

It ain't how you start but how you finish. These are words that everyone should remember to live by but they are also the words that we seem to easily forget until someone either reminds us to keep pushing on or until we witness someone that has traveled a road longer and harder than we have. That's where our guest for this show Queen of Queen's Poetic Expression's "The Complexities of Life" comes in.
Check out some of her experiences.
Growing up witnessing the abusive relationship between her parents.
Living a violent life and becoming a gang banger by joining the local Crips gang in her neighborhood as a teenager.
Becoming involved in an abusive relationship herself following in the footsteps of her parents.
Surviving several suicide attempts.
Becoming a teenage mom through all of this and being faced with raising several children as a single mom.
Wanna know how it all turns out? How would you think it would? No way she could win or more or less even be in the game after all this right?
Queen is currently working on an autobiography but has already finished 2 self published books of poetry and on top of that she spits that spoken word very well? Wanna hear some of it? Check out her YouTube channel Queens Poetic Expressions and see what it's hittin' for. I think you'll be impressed and ready to hear more about what has inspired her to do what she does.
You'll notice that she's still here and still going strong because It Ain't How You Start, It's.........
