Everyday, we find informal, self-directed, lifelong learners eroding away at the established educational institutions and practices. Each of us, by the lives we live, the experiences that teach us and the lessons we learn are part of The Education Evolution.
The education "elephant in the room" leaves us thinking about elephants even when we are living and learning about everything else.

How to learn more by talking to and not at others. When I'm told something by a person I trust, I verify it. If that person is a minister, a doctor, a lawyer, a politician, a friend or a family member, I still take time to verify the information. It is never a waste of time to be sure. Actually the more research I do to verify information, the more intellect I gain. I suggest you do the same. So for those who never do any research about any subject matter, you are in not position to argue what is or is not correct. You actually should not be spreading information that you have not taken time to confirm. And verifying information should include using more than one source. It is easier than ever before to be informed. As in the words of Frederick Douglass, "If we are ignorant the intelligence of others will do but little for us". You can get lots of information here at the I Love Politics Show about politics, praise and productivity. Join me here for weekly call in-put shows and on Twitter.com/beesayspolitics 24/7 for some fun learning conversations. Todays' show is about a political figure, Frederick Douglass. Prepare, call in, talk to others!

Elephants, Entrepreneurs and Edicators find the extraordinary in the ordinary and help those arouind them achieve excellence.
Everyday on The Teach Jim Show we find ways to work through the challenges and weightier matters of life (elephants) with informal, self-directed learning strategies and engaging exchanges with entrepreneurs and educators.
Today our career path most often leads to the next life cycle of our progress. The idea we are to have a lifelong career plan is crazy. Change is expodential so our chance to achieve excepeitonal excellence under such presures is the new reality. Leveraging our experience and the experience of others we are poised to exceed our ordinary selves and become extraordinary.
Our goal on The Teach Jim Show is to "stop thinking about elephants" and become the exceptional enrepreneurs and educators we were born to be. It is time to start dreaming aloud because dreaming's allowed !
And whatever you do....don't think about elephants, entrepreneurs or educators!

Some people firmly believe that strong language is a positive motivator in guiding others toward what they believe is the correct, appropriate behavior. Rarely do those who use such strong language see themselves as being verbally abusive. We have all been fussed at by parents, teachers and other elders who sought to correct our behavior as children. But what happens when the fussing doesn't stop after you become an adult? At what point is expressing ones displeasure at another's action considered to be verbal abuse? People who are accustomed to fussing and arguing as the norm in a household will repeat the same behavior they experienced growing up. It may not seem abusive to them at all. But if the way you communicate to others is hurtful, damaging to another's sense of self worth, insulting, degrading and humiliating, it's probably verbal abuse. If this is the only way you know how to express displeasure, perhaps its time to learn a better way to communicate. Today our relationship experts, Muneerah Habeel and Mark Shahid, will guide us through the process of recognizing and correcting verbally abusive communication between husbands and wives.
