It's Friday 13th so from 8AM-10AM EST let's go for broke. Baseball Spring Training has begun so let's go for a home run. Let's see how many people we can offend this morning in the game we call politics. On my list are those politicians opposing FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) and Ethics in politics. Let's not leave out the use of Eminent Domain. While we're at it we may as well look at politicians as they Play Guns with the Constitution. and by all means we must talk about the rush by "Conservatives" to raise taxes!
Bring your own issues with you as you join me this morning "In the Pickle Barrel". Join in the conversation in the onsite Chat Room. Better yet, join me live on air by calling in at 855-236-2486.
Tune in to learn how you can pay your taxes if you owe on your 2014 return. If if you have an S Corp. or a C Corp. it's due September 15 if it's a personal tax return it's due October 15. Make sure you stay compliant.
In this segment of the Vince Anello show, Seth Piccirillo, Niagara Falls New York Community Development Director describes the program for first-time homebuyers. The homes in this program are selected from the city of Niagara Falls In Rem list. These are the properties that the city of Niagara Falls plans to auction off due to nonpayment of taxes.
Mr. Piccirillo also discusses with callers the Isaiah 61 worker training initiative. This is a community effort to train unemployed and disadvantage individuals to learn a trade related to the residential remodeling industry.
Callers also wanted to discuss the frozen water line issue plaguing the city of Niagara Falls for the past several winters.
Withrow too late to abstain
Supervisor Terry Withrow is too late to abstain on the vote to support the downtown Modesto community benefit district.
He has already voted by investing $1000 in the NEW CITY CLUB, which is a group that organized and created the community benefit district.
The new city club will have its own boundaries, its own police force, it’s own rules and regulations, and will eventually have access to $1 million a year, in assessments on property owners.
After the district is approved and taxes are collected Withrow’s $1000 contribution will be returned.
Other club members will also have their money returned by taxpayers in the district.
Although the County and the city do not pay taxes on our buildings, they have agreed that they will voluntarily give tax payers money to the new city club.
Public properties will also be allowed to vote for the new city club, giving those in favor of the new city, a 15% head start in the vote.
Property owners are being asked to vote a second ballot because of a “technical error” with the first ballot.
We don’t know what was wrong with the first ballot,, we do know that Chamber of Commerce Pres. Dave Gianelli is making phone calls seeking support for the new city.
Finally, deputy city manager Brent Sinclair was asked for a list of the members of the new city club and their contribution. (INVESTMENTS)
Sinclair claimed that he needed 14 days to provide that information.

Attention American Transportation Leaders - It is Time to Stop Toll Roads and Restore our Freeways!
Guests: Terri Hall - Texans for Toll-free Highways
Patrick Hand - Stop the Tolls
Americans know there are better ways to fund highways than TOLL TAXES. We know everyone's cost of living goes up with the cost of transportation. We know everyone benefits from transportation regardless of how many miles they drive on the highways. We know it is wrong for our local, state and federal representatives and quasi-governmental agencies to sell-off public infrastructure to foreign corporations. We know "Public Private Partnerships" are nothing more than a major source for governmental corruption. We know these individuals/representatives, quasi-governmental agencies and P3s are NOT working in the best interest of the American people. We know it is up to us to demand changes in transportation.
The time is now for Americans to come together to shut-down toll roads across the U.S.A. We can shut-down the toll roads if we work together.
Here are some of the grassroot groups working to stop toll roads:
