    The FairtaxGodfather Tax Reform Hour

    in Politics

Are you sick and tired of paying tax on your hard earned income? The Federal Income Tax system in this country penalizes productivity and is a very regressive tax. The FairTaxGodfather Tax Reform hour is a weekly radio show at Tues. 9pm EDT designed to feature guest speakers and general public call-in guests that are interested in supporting the FairTax Bill, HR 25, S13, or any tax reform in general. Weekly the show is divided into a first half hour with special guests and current topics on tax reform, and the second half hour there is a "Great American Tax Panel" to discuss the fairtax and general tax reform and take caller questions. The objective of the show is to increase the public knowledge and understanding of the FairTax legislation and to encourage listeners to call their elected representatives and ask them to support tax reform and the Fair Tax Bill. All discussion will be open and fair, just like the FairTax! To defray the costs of this program I accept donations to my PayPal account fairtaxgodfather@yahoo.com. Any amount will help and you can use a credit card on PayPal. Thank you! Rich (The FairTaxGodfather)

LRO: State Tax Reform - The Good, Bad, and Kasich

    in Politics

Kasich has been beaten-up by both the Left and the Right on tax reform.  The Ohio GOP's efforts to move more of the burden to local government while reducing the state income tax has not come without a political and fiscal price tag.

Helping us make sense of it all is Will Upton of Americans for Tax Reform.  Hosts Bill Yarbrough and Scott Pettigrew welcome Will as a native Ohioan who specializes in state level tax refrom advocacy.

Will Small Business Gain From Corporate Tax Overhaul? - SBEC's Ray Keeting

    in Entrepreneur

The Obama Administration and Congress have been at odds for months over a major overhaul of U.S. Corporate tax laws. Everyone seems to agree that something should be done but how will small business owners benefit?

Raymond J. Keating who serves as chief economist with the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council (SBE Council), a nonpartisan, nonprofit small-business advocacy group, says corporate tax reform alone won't get the job done and instead insists it has to be comprehensive across the board tax reform. Keeting, who talks with host Kelly Scanlon, maintains small business owners who employee 55 percent of the private sector workforce and earn more than 60 percent of net business income shouldn't be ignored.

Keeting writes, speaks and testifies on a wide range of issues affecting the entrepreneurial sector of the economy.

    Health Reform Monday

    in Christianity

Whoever turns from the light in one instance hardens his heart to disregard the light upon other matters. Whoever violates moral obligations in the matter of eating and dressing, prepares the way to violate the claims of God in regard to eternal interests....

The people whom God is leading will be peculiar. They will not be like the world. But if they follow the leadings of God, they will accomplish His purposes, and will yield their will to His will. Christ will dwell in the heart. The temple of God will be holy. Your body, says the apostle, is the temple of the Holy Ghost.

God does not require His children to deny themselves to the injury of physical strength. He requires them to obey natural law, to preserve physical health. Nature’s path is the road He marks out, and it is broad enough for any Christian. God has, with a lavish hand, provided us with rich and varied bounties for our sustenance and enjoyment. But in order for us to enjoy the natural appetite, which will preserve health and prolong life, He restricts the appetite. He says, Beware; restrain, deny, unnatural appetite. If we create a perverted appetite, we violate the laws of our being, and assume the responsibility of abusing our bodies and of bringing disease upon ourselves.

The indifference with which the health books have been treated by many is an offense to God. To separate the health work from the great body of the work is not in His order. Present truth lies in the work of health reform as verily as in other features of gospel work. No one branch, when separated from others, can be a perfect whole.

  • Graceland: The Case Against Welfare with Dr. Jerome Huyler

    in Politics

Anti-poverty programs that were put in place as a safety net have instead created a cycle of generational dependency we call the welfare state. Government assistance is no longer a temporary condition, but has become a way of life.

At the same time, big government spending has created $18 trillion dollars in national debt and there appears to be no end in sight. Entitlements and government spending are on an unsustainable course.

The easy answer to this problem is to stop spending.

Many will say that America needs tax reform or a balanced-budget amendment. Although these are good ideas, Dr. Jerome Huyler, explains in his book, "The Case Against Welfare," the best way to correct the problem is to defund Obamacare and dismantle the welfare state. This includes anti-poverty programs, earmarks, business bailouts, farm subsidies and many other entitlements.
