Adult Children of Alcoholics have been denied a childhood. Because our lives have been so tattered with emotional neglect, we do not feel seen psychologically. As a result we struggle today with feelings of low self worth. We wonder secretly, "Who am I? What do I deserve? Am I good enough?"
Healing ourselves requires us to be as open and honest to our personal truth, regardless of whom our personal truth disappoints.
In this broadcast, listen in as Life Coach, Mentor and Bestselling Author Lisa A. Romano explores the journey back to self, and how it is she knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that healing is absolutely possible.

As a member of the elite U.S. Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance teams, Renee LaFleet learned hard lessons about survival. This is where he met the brother of his heart, Navy SEAL commander, Richard Shannon, under the harsh conditions of hand to hand combat. But nothing he experienced in Iraq prepared him for the evil he would face as a homicide detective in Dallas, Texas. At least in battle you know the enemy. When bodies start turning up all murdered in the same manner, Ren is confronted with the unthinkable possibility that his best friend, Father Richard Shannon might be involved. Ren must decide where the bonds of brotherhood end and his duty as a Texas Peace officer starts. Learn more when Mike and I discuss Sentine's Choice.
A young nurse is savagely killed during a pre-dawn run on Galveston’s seawall. The murderer slices her running shorts from her body as his trophy and tosses the body over the wall to the rocks below. As dawn breaks, a bedraggled street person, wearing four layers of old, tattered clothes, emerges from the end of the jetty, waving his arms and talking to people only he hears. He trips over the body, checks for a pulse and, instead, finds a diamond bracelet which he puts in his pocket. He hurries across the street, heading for breakfast at the Salvation Army two blocks away, leaving his footprints in blood as he goes. Just who is accused and who will defend him you will learn when I interview Larry Thompson.
Join me in the chat room when I interview both mystery/thriller authors. Insanity Plea will keep you guessing until the very end. Sentinel's Choice is a fast paced novel with twists and turns you won't see coming. One show you want to hear!
Welcome to a very special show tonight. You may remember at Christmas the songs we played on our show that was performed by the Franklin family. Wild Bill works with Keith and found out that they do not just have musical talent, Keith's wife has written songs, and is a budding author in the family! The release of "THREADS OF TIME" moved up the charts with Amazon faster then Bill can eat hot pancakes! Christian romance is a topic that is pretty foreign to Bill. You could say that romance in general is a foreign topic for him! That did not stop us from asking the authors to be a part of our show. What do we mean by authors. "Threads of Time" is a collection of seven Christian romantic novellas, about a very special quilt passing through time. This quilt was intended to grace the marriage bed of a young couple, but never fulfilling its original purpose. It travels through many hands and decades, lending comfort to its temporary owners before being passed on. A "Thimbleful of Peace" is by Constance Shilling Stevens, "Tattered Hopes" is by Ralph Vogel, "A Night With No Stars" is by J. Michele Franklin (Keith's wife), "Mending the Widow’s Heart" is by Marjorie Vawter, "A Thread of Hope" is by Darlene A. Dodds, "Frayed" is by Eileen Key, "A Patchwork Promise" is by K. Marie Libel. You can download this book on Amazon, and I think there is a hard copy release coming out due to the success of this book already. These writers worked under the support of Kim Vogel Sawyer, which is well known and loved for her books. We probably will not have time tonight, but we will get them back to talk about their new publishing company.

Dynamic, exciting, and on fire for life Denise L. Cook, known as The ORACLE, brings insight to the internet. Her new show, The ORACLE Speaks, is a call in radio show. Inspired by the ORACLE's writing and motivated ... by your input. Whatever the subject, The ORACLE brings knowledge and a personal understanding to the table and leaves you feeling as if you have been hugged from the inside out.
The ORACLE Team: Legendary Music Producer, Keg Johnson, Grammy Nominated, six time Juno Award winner, Jeri Brown and Me, The ORACLE.
This weeks theme: STAND. Stand in the light of understanding of a G-D, of the knowledge of your true self and the acceptance of those you consider family and friends as extensions of your self. Stand for something. When you don’t, it’s been said you’ll fall for anything.
Stand in the face of adversity with a firm force to win without compromise. Stand up and in control of the decisions you make. Stand for the truth in all things, even when that truth won’t set you free and it hurts beyond reasoning and conscious understanding.
Stand tall and strong as the reed of wheat in the storm. When someone asks how you are doing, say, “I’m standing in there”. Saying “hanging in there” connotes a noose around the neck. “Standing in there” intimates the reed of wheat in the storm. When the storm is over, the reed of wheat may be tattered and torn but is made stronger for the experience.

The Japanese have a term called "wabi sabi", which is part of their world view. The term has been tossed around a lot lately in art or creative circles, kind of like feng shui, which has become Americanized. So what is wabi sabi all about? Essentially, it's a concept about beauty, the beauty that we see not only in nature but in the manmade things around us. Wabi sabi appreciates imperfection: the crack in the vase, the rug with the slightly tattered edge. It reveres beauty that is simple, not gaudy; making doing with less, not more; and it recognizes that the objects we create should weather gently over time, just as trees and rocks become weathered by the elements. The idea of wabi sabi ties in with the Asian concepts of acceptance and emptiness, the topics of the last two weeks' broadcasts. It's very different from our consumer-driven scoiety in which we always need the newest and the latest, and toss things away as soon as we consider them to be obsolete. Tune in to learn more!
Why Shamanism Now?
A Practical Path To Authenticity
with host Christina Pratt
How do we ReDream our Life?
How do we redream our life when a spouse dies, a beloved sibling, or perhaps a child? How do we redream a life of love and relationship after a nasty, divisive, inequitable divorce? How do we redream life after time at war destroys our sense of the core goodness of humanity? Where do we begin when all that matters in life is tattered and in a shambles all around our feet? We accept that the Void is present and welcome The Original Dreamer into our life. And then we learn again to dream, just as we did as a child; we learn to dream reality into form. Join host and shaman, Christina Pratt, as she explores how we recover dreaming as a conscious act when the dream we have dreamt from childhood goes terribly awry. Join us and discover the art of dreaming well.

In The Butterfly Sister by Amy Gail Hansen—a moving Gothic tale that intertwines mystery, madness, betrayal, love, and literature—a fragile young woman must silence the ghosts of her past.
Ten months after dropping out of all-girl Tarble College, Ruby Rousseau is still haunted by the memories of her senior year, a time marred by an affair with her English professor and a deep depression that caused her to question her sanity.
When a mysterious suitcase arrives bearing Ruby's name and address, she tries to return it to its rightful owner, Beth—a dorm-mate at Tarble—only to learn that Beth disappeared two days earlier.
With clues found in the luggage, including a tattered copy of Virginia Woolf’s A Room of One's Own, which Ruby believes instigated her madness, she sets out to uncover the truth.
