Several Tangipahoa Parish Youth Ambassadors will join citizens from across this country to converge upon our nation's capital to commemorate and celebrated the historic March on Washington that occurred 50 years ago on August 28, 1963.
Most of the Ambassadors parents weren't born at the time of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. most profound speech " I Have A Dream' in 1963. The Youth Ambassadors have been invited by The Center for Civil and Human Rights Law, Attorney Van Henri White to participate on a youth panel to discuss their views on civil rights and peonage.
The Youth Ambassadors along with other summer campers took a National Civil Rights Tour to the National Civil Rights Musuem, the Slaven House Museum and the Mississippi Delta to get a first hand lesson on history and how the civil rights movement affect their lives today.
Please join Host Antoinette Harrell and her special guest Bobby J. Ginn for this upcoming discussion.
Last week I read a very disturbing article in one of the local newspapers in Tangipahoa Parish. A child had his arm broken at Sumner Middle School by a bully. Unfortunately, some kids will tease their school mates, siblings and neighborhood friends sometimes during their childhood. When any child is physically or verbally being abused, the problem need to be addressed. We all should take bullying serious and not disregard the signs. Bullying can have a lifelong affect on anyone who has been bullied. Bullies can be found in both genders, all races, classes and social status.
Dr. Okpara Nosakhere former educator and author of Big, Bad, Bullies know the importance of saying- no to bullies. Please join host Antoinette Harrell and co-host Dr. Okpara Nosakhere for a discussion on bulling.
Three weeks we had the pleasure of having the Town of Amite City, LA Councilman Jonathan Foster as a guest. Councilman Foster discussed some of the budget cuts that is affecting Tangipahoa Parish. The councilman promised to come back on Nurturing Our Roots BTR to speak to his constituents about the changes and how it will affect those who lives in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana. Please join host Antoinette Harrell and her special guest.

The True Meaning of Christ-Mass
My people parish for a like of knowledge.Your Bible warns of a Great Spirit war that will take place in the future actually in the very near future even now. Many of you reading this article will get angry but the truth will set you free. But notice this amazing statement: "So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him" (Revelation 12:9).
Read that carefully. Satan, the devil, deceives the whole world! That means the people of every nation. That means you and me. I have been deceived. You have been deceived. But, thankfully, God calls us out of this world's deception, through the true Jesus Christ of the Bible!
Rev Pinkney became aware, after the jury verdict that juror Gail Freehling did not truthfully respond to inquiries as to whether she knew or was connected with one of the prosecution's witnesses in this case, Sharon Tyler.
Gail freehling was called to the petit jury box around or before 1:39 PM on October 23, 2014.
Attorney Tat Parish specifically asked the juror during voir dire, while juror Gail Freehling was in the jury box, whether they knew or had connections with Sharon Tyler.
Gail Freehling lied to be on jury to help convict Rev Pinkney:
THE GREATEST EDUCATION YOU CAN GET IS A REAL RELIGIOUS ONE
I was blessed to have the benefit of a Real Catholic education, My kindergarten school was PS189. where I learned to spill paint on my coloring book. From there on it was St. Elizabeth's grammar school all nuns and one lay teacher. From there is was on to Bishop Du Bois High School. All priests and Marist brothers and one lay gym teacher. Totally religious exposure. Did I absorb religion like a blotter? What teenager does while hormones bubble? The gift I received was knowledge of right from wrong. You can call abortion choice but I know it is murder. God says through Moses thou shalt not kill period. Especially your own. Jesus says the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.
So therefore knowing right from wrong does not qualify me to throw stones. However I do have an obligation to convince people in trouble from hurting their soul. The schools I was blessed to attend are no more. Convents and churches are up for sale. The same one dollar in the 50's collection basket is in the basket still. My grammar school education was free to parish members. My high school education was $12.00 a month. I had an after school job that paid $12.00 a week. Today big families three or more kids cannot afford a religious education for their children. Off they go to anti religious, anti American secular schools where teachers unions serve themselves first. Just like the fat golden calf government.
