Tamika's passion for writing began at an early age. In college she majored in English with an emphasis on creative writing. Tamika wrote short stories both for class assignments and for pleasure. Her dream of becoming a published author began as a junior in college. Although Tamika knew that someday her dream would come true, she needed a career in the meantime. She attended law school while raising two daughters and working full time. She had very little downtime but whenever she had a moment to herself she wrote. During this time her first novel, Anytime Soon was created.
By the time her oldest daughter went off to college Tamika had finally finished her novel and began working to get it published. In 2010, tragedy struck when Tamika's mother died unexpectedly and the writing project was put on hold. Two years later, a close friend reminded Tamika of her dream and encouraged her to continue with her writing project. Knowing that her mother would want her to move forward, Tamika again began the journey to becoming a published author. BQB Books has been the first step in completing her journey.
Today, Tamika is excited about her novel and busy working on her next novel.
Join us this Sunday as we "SPOTLIGHT" another outstanding Author.

Please join the hosts as they welcome in their special guest, Tamika Christy. Tamika is a Bay Area native and began writing at an early age, prompted by the gift of a journal for Christmas. With pen in hand, she continued writing throughout college where she realized her talent for creating intriguing plots and multidimensional characters. Tamika continued to nurture her love for writing while attending law school, where she gave birth to her first novel, Anytime Soon.
Tamika’s life experiences have been filled with rich experiences and a loving cast of delightful family and friends. Her stories embody characters and plots that are based on the premise that we are all flawed in some way but our individual imperfections make us uniquely who we are. Beyond writing, Tamika enjoys cooking, running, and, most of all, spending time with her two beautiful daughters. She continues to reside in the Bay Area and, although she is enjoying the release of her first novel, she is currently busy working on her second.
The chat room will be open for questions and comments. See you then!

“Twenty years ago, the death of Tamir Rice would have fallen on deaf ears and been left for the police to write a false report, not broadcast for the world to know, Michael Brown’s body would have only traumatized the community, rather than wake up the people.America, We can’t breathe,” , echoing the phrase that Eric Garner uttered while being held in a chokehold by police in July 2014 and that has been appropriated by the civil rights movement Ms Tamika Mallory, national organiser the March.WP
MENTAL DIALOGUE is the RETURN OF INTELLIGENT RADIO as we push the envelope on the QUESTIONS AMERICA'S AFRAID TO ASK. This Saturday (Oct 10) 10am-12noon EST, BLACK SOCRATES and co-host CHRISTY GAYNELL explore GUN CONTROL in America. After the mass shooting in Oregon is BARACK OBAMA'S call for stricter GUN CONTROL laws warranted or just a tactic for the GOVERNMENT to disarm its citizens? Should we ban automatic weapons, or does such a ban go against the spirit of the 2nd Ammendment only to leave good citizens unprotected from not only criminals, but the GOVERNMENT itself? At the top of the 2nd hour for the MONEY & POWER 15 (11:00-11:15am EST), we bring on commodities trading advisor, MICHAEL SUTTLAR, to discuss the benefits of parents taking out LIFE INSURANCE, especially on BLACK CHILDREN in places like CHICAGO, DETROIT, PHILADEPHIA, and any urban metro area with a high rate of GUN VIOLENCE. "ALL I ASK IS THAT YOU THINK"
