SWAG Radio Presents: Authoress Miz T

    in Books

This evening we will be talking with Authoress Miz T.

    About the Author

Teresa Mason Browning is a woman of true insight and a lively spirit.  She is the author of two bestselling novels, “Why I Kept My Past A Secret” and “Now That The Secrets Are Out” and has traveled many places as a motivational speaker. Her latest releases, “Living Free of the Secrets” and “A Black Man’s Pain”, are soon to become national best sellers as well.  Teresa was born in Oklahoma, but was raised in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. She now resides in South Carolina with her significant other that helps keep her the jovial woman she is today.

    From the Author

What I enjoy most as a writer is the joy that others receive from reading my novels.

I had to learn the business of becoming a writer from the ground up.  I have gone through some scrapes and bruises but found that if you keep God first you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. The words “No” or “Can't” have never been an option for me.

I first discovered my passion for writing at the early age of 13.  I would sit alone and write for hours about my thoughts, dreams and the people around me.  I wrote in my private journal every day.  After many years had passed I decided to take my journals and put my thoughts in book form.

As a self-published author, I actually didn't start putting my work together for a novel until my children were in there last few years of high school, so it was very easy to find time to capture my thoughts.  My children were very supportive in my goal of becoming a writer.

    GUEST THIS WEEK" MIKE THORNTON ! TALKING ABOUT HIS BOOK {FIRE IN THE CAROLINAS}

    in Christianity

Mike with his wife, Amber and four daughters

Before answering Gods call on Michael’s life, he was hopelessly addicted to life destroying drugs for nearly a decade.  After entering into a Christian Recovery Center, Michael encountered the powerful love of Jesus.  All of his chains of addiction were finally broken.   Following his completion of the program, God called Michael to school, where he met his wife Amber Thornton.  In May of 2007, both Amber and Michael graduated from Heritage Bible College and continued to further their education at Regent University.

During this time, God began to stir in Michael’s heart the flames of revival.  God quickly opened some amazing doors, and Michael was able to share his story amongst different denominations and races.  His testimony was even featured on the 700 Club.  Continuing to follow the call for a national and global spiritual awakening, the Lord led Michael to re-dig the ancient wells of revival in North Carolina. Fruit from this assignment has lead to his first book–Fire in the Carolinas: The Lasting Legacy of G.B. Cashwell and A.B. Crumpler. This work has also led to a great hunger and passion to see the Southern United States lead the nation in a global healing revival between the races and churches.

In May 2012, Michael received a Masters degree in Public Administration/Non-profit Organizations, and Amber received two Masters degrees: Practical Theology/Christian Counseling.  In addition, God has blessed the Thornton’s with four beautiful girls: Jordan, Abigail, Briella, and Bethany.

  • Frat House Saturday #15

    in Sports

It’s festive, fun, and frivolous. It’s another “relaxed” Frat House Saturday with Frat House Mike bringing you some of the BEST clips from this past week's Frat House Sports Radio Network.

The Frat House Gang opened their Thursday program The Frat House Sports Show with a conversation about a possible upcoming Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather bout and whether that might bring boxing back to relevance. Boxing Day may be December 26th in Canada, but it could be May 2nd here in the U.S.

There’s something about the holidays that bring out the little kid silliness in all of us including Jim and Frat House Mike on this week’s Inside the WarNest. They try talking Philadelphia Eagles football, but wound up going now “memory lane” numerous times. This IS a fun and funny one!

NFL Week 16 brings you our standard Frat House Sports Show “4 Minutes of Football” feature followed by the gang’s NFL Picks-of-the-Week: Atlanta Falcons – New Orleans Saints / Kansas City Chiefs – Pittsburgh Steelers / Indianapolis Colts – Dallas Cowboys / Denver Broncos – Cincinnati Bengals.

Finally, we bring you a bit more amusement compliments of Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender, Jonathan Bernier. (You’ve GOT to hear THIS!)

Be sure to be there from the top of the show for FHS's famous Frat House Mike's Saturday Commentary! But, it’s also light, amusing, and festive to kick-off your holiday season.

Give it a listen and be sure to give Mike a call at 347 – 826 – 9964 . . . because, he’s all by himself, and needs someone to talk to!
