ObamaCare Facts 2014 – We Tell you the Facts, Not The Talking Points

    in Religion

If an you or your family chooses not to purchase healthcare through the Online Health Insurance Exchange, they can still buy private insurance, get insurance through their employer, Medicare, or Medicaid. Those who chose to not purchase insurance will pay an income “penalty” tax to help cover the rest of us. In other words, it is a tax, not a mandate; no one is actually forcing you to have health insurance.

The Affordable Health Care Act doesn’t just focus on insurance, it also reforms the parts of the healthcare system that aren’t working, or are costing the tax payer money. For example, by focusing on preventive measures instead of just treatment, ObamaCare will save tens of billions of dollars and tens of thousands of lives.

Although ObamaCare hasn’t resulted in job loss, the “employer mandate” has resulted in a number of full-time workers at large firms having their hours cut back to part time in order for employers to avoid providing their full-timers with health insurance. On the same note, many larger firms have moved workers from part-time to full-time to provide them will benefits.

The View Up Here talks C-525, organized labour, its opponents, and CPC's agenda

    in Politics

Some things just don't change in Ottawa as the "Dark Ages" near the end. Recall bill C-377, which died a deserving death in the Senate courtesy of (former) Senator Hugh Segal. That bill sought to force unions to disclose information and incur costs of doing business that no party would ever demand of corporations. But then, the Corporate Pacification Committee seems to demand next to nothing from the corporate sector. Not taxes. Not compliance. They do accept potential laws from them though.

Cue private members bill C-525. The tactic of having faceless backbench seals introduce devious bills is becoming a base tactic for Emperor. This bill seeks to once again take away rights of all Canadian workers by dictating conditions of organization to the Federal public sector. The civil service is the largest concentration of unionized workers in Canada. The familiar refrains of "good value for taxpayers" and "accountabilty", which mean absolutely nothing to a Government that spends 100 million tax dollars a year on partisan ads, are the usual talking points. The now routine use of limiting debate and pushing through laws for their friends was almost derailed by the Senate. Despite finding errors in the bill, which may add it to the pile of unconstitutional legislation from this junta, the chamber of "sober second thought" passed it anyway.

Why? Because any amended bill in the Senate must go back to the House of Commons to be approved again. That was just too risky to those bastions of democracy known as Emperor's hordes. Diane Finley lauds it. Tony Panayi (Clement) lauds it. That is enough cause for alarm right there.

We will look at this mess of a bill and see how it will effect all working people's rights. We will also include Emperor's cheering section, notably Merit Canada, where half-truths are a way of doing business 24/7.

Talking in Circles: Sprint Leaving Cup; Sprint UNLIMITED; Brian Vickers out

    in Sports

Lots to talk about on tonight's episode.

First we start with Sprint, the Cup Series title sponsor since 2004 (was originally Nextel) has announced that they will not return after their contract expires after the 2016 season. We discuss why Sprint may be making this change, and who the possible replacements for them could be...

The season opening exhibition race, the Sprint Unlimited has also gone under a couple of changes. The pole sitters, as well as past Daytona pole sitters, and all of the Chasers from 2014 will be eligible for the 2015 race. These changes are known as the Danica clause. We'll discuss our thoughts on these changes for 2015.

Also, some more unfortunate for driver, Brian Vickers. Vickers, the current driver of the #55 Aaron's Dream Machine Toyota in the Sprint Cup Series will now miss at least the start of the 2015 season now due to an illness once again. This will be the 3rd time in his career that he will miss significant time due to illness.

Frank Kerr has also been hired for Richard Petty Motorsports' NASCAR Xfinity Series team.

And on the truck side, Ray Black, Jr will run for rookie of the year at SS-Greenlight Racing in 2015, as he will run the full schedule.

Also, if we have time, we will talk about the changes talking place on pit road now that the NASCAR officials will no longer be in every pit stall.
