K began her writing journey around age 12 using her pen and paper as an escape from the world around her. When not writing, she kept her 2 childhood best friends completely entertained with her storytelling using herself and them as the main characters and putting them into senerios worthy of a spot on the best sellers list. The "author" bug struck. Years later when a witnessed situation put the thought of Queen of DC into her head. That thought lead her to a pack of loose leaf paper and a 10 pack of BIC pens and about 14 days later, with a little over 2 packs of notebook paper written front and back .... what is being called TRUE URBAN FICTION sat before her. It was still years before that gem was shared with the world But finally Queen of DC is here and so is K Sherrie and they are here to Stay.
Perhaps you are a victim of blind love yourself. Maybe you thought you had finally found your love match only to realize much later, many heartaches and agonizing nights later, that Mr. Wonderful was not so wonderful after all. In fact, he was pretty much like that other awful man you thought was your true love, or the past beau you felt you could not live without but had to when he left you for that other woman.
Most times it is not just bad luck that steers women to the wrong man time and time again. Sometimes the pattern of loser-lovers is indicative of a deeper, more serious flaw in the woman's personality or character. Or the problem may stem from the woman's family history. And it usually is rooted in lack of self-esteem and self-love. In addition, far too many women blindly get involved with man after man without stopping to assess what went wrong in previous relationships. Many women do not evaluate themselves or their relationships; consequently, they do not recognize the similarities that attract them to certain types of men."
When a woman repeatedly chooses the wrong man, those bad choices attempt to fulfill "needs" that sometimes go back to the woman's childhood, back to the time when she was not capable of analyzing the information at hand. Women who grow up and see their mothers in bad relationships, or grow up with fathers who are abusive, alcoholic or addicted to drugs, as children they watch these situations and think of ways their mothers should resolve the problem. When they grow up themselves, they select men who are very much like their fathers. When they grow up in abusive families, they marry men who are abusive because they want to change the man. They tell themselves

Celebrity Link : Featuring 15 of jamaica's Reggae Music Child prodigy
Dennis Brown was born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1957. Hailed as a child prodigy
Alaine – Many older Jamaicans will remember Alaine as the little girl with the angelic voice from the popular 1990s Victoria Mutual Building Society ad, but she had actually made her debut a few years earlier in the movie Clara’s Heart, starring Whoopi Goldberg and Kathleen Quinlan
Jimmy Cliff – Singer, musician, actor and all-around global superstar Jimmy Cliff began his illustrious career while in high school by entering a number of local talent contests. By the time he was 14, Cliff had released several hit singles

in Video Games
On this episode of Gamer Thumb (Formerly Game Night Weekly): Pat and Ryan cover a few things they missed in last week's show, The guys look back on some of their favorite childhood games, And our hosts talk about some of the biggest challenges they've faced in video games.
Priceless wisdom was handed down to me be my elders, southerners born in the late 1800s and early 20th century who migrated North, who were sharecroppers and domestic workers, business owners, medical professionals etc.
They made it easy for me to thrive. My childhood was charmed as a result. I learned and played hard with no interruption. I truly am a child of MLK's "Dream".
Just this morning I read about young black feminists who said they would/would not "march" for Eric Garver because "'nuff black women out here providing soft landings for your b!tch @sses, I am not one of them".
Obviously there is more going on here than the murder of a man that many of us saw lately via a passerby and his camcorder. The situations involving the two women, one dead one not, mentioned in this show are not as cut and dry as Eric Garver or even Trayvon Martin.
SPONSORED BY MARK PITTMAN--If you've been a listener of the On The Edge Show wih Kaydee Barnett & Friends, you know two things--A) that we are avid in our efforts to bring awareness and promote restoration to the African-American community by facing the ugly reality of its state head on with a no-holds-barred approach..and B) you know that the amazing, powerful and no-holds-barred music of Paul "PR" Robinson, singer of the amazing singles "So Tired" and "Catch 'EM, are always played somewhere along the line of our broadcast. PR, like so many of us, is tired of the tragedies and injustices that are inflicted upon the African-American community. He boldly tackles issues such as racism, discrimination and Black-on-Black crimes in his amazing single, "So Tired", attacks gun violence in the hip-hop tuned "Catch 'Em", and touches on white supremacy in what is considered a controversial song entitled "Willie Lynch". Join us live @ 10:30 pm EST to hear his thoughts on the state of Black America and the solutions we should strive to achieve. Call 347-327-9967.
