    in Television

On today's show we welcome from 'Tabatha Takes Over' Mrs Tabatha Coffey!
You've seen her Tabatha Takes Over returns for a new season of putting businesses back on track. The blunt, straightforward Tabatha travels across the country, takes over various failing establishments, and whips them into shape from the ground up. For one week, Tabatha sequesters the keys, becomes the boss, and brings her unapologetic, brutally honest opinion and experience to businesses. This season, Tabatha returns to some of her most memorable takeovers to drop in for a surprise visit. Many business owners have the entrepreneurial spirit, but lack the tools needed to make their business a sustainable and profitable success.

How Foxy Brown took on the City of Baltimore; Myrnamar boat casualties

    in Pop Culture

Jane and Jon discuss world upheaval in places like Thailand and Myrnamar where 6,000 refugees are trapped on a boat, being exploited by human traffickers who are trying to make money off of refugees by impounding funds from family members.

They also discuss how the urban streets have changed or stayed the same since 1968 in Baltimore with commentary by Tavis Smiley from Time Magazine.

We had a caller, Citizen X, who tried to inflect that it's each man for himself, not the government.  He denounces labels but is short on explanations.

Later on, Jane & Jon discuss  Pam Grier, Rosie Grier and Blacploitation films such as Foxy Brown, Coffey and more from that era.

Wild Horse & Burro Radio: Howard Lyman (Mad Cowboy & Cowspiracy Documentary)

    in Politics

    Hosted By Debbie Coffey

Our guest tonight is  HOWARD LYMAN, who was featured in the documentary "Cowspiracy" and is the author of the books "Mad Cowboy"  and "No More Bull."  After Howard stated his opinion in warning the public about the risk of Mad Cow disease on the Oprah Winfrey Show in April, 1996,

Until August 1997, cattle were routinely fed the remains of other cows.  The Department of Agriculture and the FDA banned the practice, fearing the spread of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), better known as Mad Cow Disease.  But it remains legal to feed cows "rendered" -- dead and ground up -- parts of certain animals, including the blood of other cows, despite the fact that this practice may allow deadly illnesses to enter the food chain.

Howard is a 4th generation family farmer (and vegan) from Montana.  After 20 years of operating a feed lot, he sold his ranch and started working for farmers in financial trouble.  He was a lobbyist in Washington and ran for Congress in 1982.  Howard is the former Director of the "Beyond Beef Campaign," past President of both the International Vegetarian Union and EarthSave International, and is currently President of Voice for a Viable Future."

    True Paranormal: Michelle Griffin

    in Paranormal

Hosts, Jonathan Lento and Deb DeRousse, are excited to spend the evening with Michelle Griffin.

For more than a decade, Michelle Griffin has been pursuing the connection between the spiritual, metaphysical, and paranormal philosophies. She conceived the idea of creating an event that bridged the gap between these three intriguing fields and it became Through The Veil. Viewing each event as a valuable stepping stone, Michelle continues to grow and share this wealth of knowledge with all who attend. She recognizes that synchronicity plays an integral role in defining her passion for assisting everyone in realizing their own perfect purpose.

Michelle has been featured in numerous publications, including "Haunted Times" Magazine, "Oracle 20/20" Magazine, skirt! Magazine and The Gwinnett "Daily Post." She is a contributing writer in Destiny vs. Choice by Marie D Jones and, Growing Up Psychic by Chip Coffey.
