Live: Virus, Vaccines and the importance of Anti-viral Aromatherapy Oils.

    in Music

Topic :  - Virus, Vaccines and the importance of Anti-viral Aromatherapy Oils.

Most essential oils have some antiviral properties, but some are much better at combatting and treating viruses than others! Try to start using oils as soon as your symptoms start....it's easier to fend off viruses if they are caught early. In fact, using them as prevention is probably the best course of action! For example, some essential oils are beneficial for improving and boosting your immune system......but certain ones work better against specific viruses. Just to get you started here are some great, easy to get hold of antiviral essential oils such as: bergamot, cinnamon bark, clary sage, clove, dill, anise, eucalyptus, geranium, juniper, lavender, lemongrass, Melissa, neroli, rose, rosemary, tea tree and thyme.

More about the Antiviral Essential Oils:Viruses give rise to pro-teiform pathologies, some of which medical science can do nothing to cure. Classic responses to these infections are very limited, so essential oils are a godsend in treating viral problems, from the most common to the most fearsome. The molecules from many chemical families have shown an in-vitro antiviral activity, among them monoterpenols and monoterpenals. The cineole – monoterpenol synergy is used to treat viral pathologies of the respiratory tract (widely seen in temperate climes). This synergy can be found in many essential oils that come from trees of the Myrteceae family; these have been known forever for their interest in the treatment of pulmonary diseases. Another couple, linalool oxide – linalool (Hissopus off. var. decumbens) is also interesting for viral pathologies of the lower respiratory tract. Ketones, and especially rare cryptone, have shown an interesting capacity to fight naked viruses.

Salute to the Tuskegee Airmen of the Virgin Islands

    in Culture

Despite adversity and limited opportunities, African Americans have played a significant role in US military history over the past 300 years. They were denied military leadership roles and skilled training because many believed they lacked qualifications for combat duty. Before 1940, African Americans were barred from flying for the US military. Civil rights organizations and the black press exerted pressure that resulted in the formation of an all African-American pursuit squadron based in Tuskegee, Alabama, in 1941. They became known as the Tuskegee Airmen.

The military selected Tuskegee Institute to train pilots because of its commitment to aeronautical training. Tuskegee had the facilities, and engineering and technical instructors, and climate for year-round flying. The first Civilian Pilot Training Program students completed their instruction in May 1940. The Tuskegee program was then expanded and became the center for African-American aviation during World War II.

The Tuskegee Airmen overcame segregation and prejudice to become one of the most highly respected fighter groups of World War II. They proved conclusively that African Americans could fly and maintain sophisticated combat aircraft. The Tuskegee Airmen’s achievements, together with the men and women who supported them, paved the way for full integration of the US military.

Nov. 6, 1998, President Clinton approved Public Law 105-355, which established the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site at Moton Field in Tuskegee, Alabama, to commemorate and interpret the heroic actions of the Tuskegee Airmen during World War II. The site contains a museum and interpretive programs at Moton Field and a national center.

Salute to the sons of the US Virgin Islands: Henry E. Rohlsen and Herbert Heywood, The Tuskegee in Paradise, and to the newsletter about them of the same name.

WORLD WIDE AFRICA THE VOICE OF THE PAN AFRICAN MOVEMENT

    in Politics

"They began to do this quite well, and when I got to Paris and London--there are many Afro-Americans in Paris, and many in London. And in December--no, November--we organized a group in Paris and just within a very short time they had grown into a well-organized unit. And they, in conjunction with the African community, invited me to Paris, Tuesday, to address a large gathering of Parisians and Afro-Americans and people from the Caribbean and also from Africa who were interested in our struggle in this country and the rate of progress that we have been making. But since the French government and the British government and this government here, the United States, know that I have been almost fanatically stressing the importance of the Afro-American uniting with the African and working as a coalition, especially in areas which are of mutual benefit to all of us. And the governments in these different places were frightened because they know that the Black revolution that's taking place on the outside of their house--And I might point out right here that colonialism or imperialism, as the slave system of the West is called, is not something that's just confined to England or France or the United States. But the interests in this country are in cahoots with the interests in France and the interests in Britain. It's one huge complex or combine, and it creates what's known as not the American power structure or the French power structure, but it's an international power structure. And this international power structure is used to suppress the masses of dark-skinned people all over the world and exploit them of their natural resources. So that the era in which you and I have been living during the past ten years most specifically has witnessed the upsurge on the part of the Black man in Africa against the power structure. He wants his freedom." SATURDAY HIGH NOON

    in Politics

What's the matter with Kansas? "The Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy recently reported that Kansas has the ninth-most unfair tax system in the county.  A Kansan earning $47,700 a year pays 9.5 percent of income in state and local taxes; but someone earning $1,191,700 pays an effective rate of just 3.6 percent."

So much for the 'trickle down' libertarian economic theories masterminded by the Wichita plutocrats Charles & David Koch; and implemented by Gov. Sam Brownback and his cronies in the state legislature.

Here is a very informative article by Larry Weigel recently featured at the Women for Kansas web site "Bleeding Kansas – Revenue shortfall will require grassroots leadership to deal with crisis".  Mr. Weigel has appeared multiple times on Radio Free Kansas and in this article describes who, how and why Kansas has entered this dangerous phase of reactionary policies, self-imposed austerity and regressive taxation.

Naomi Fowler's latest world wide informative "Tax Cast" from the Tax Justice Network (30 min. ca.) SUMMARY: Do our politicians believe in the societies they serve or not? The Taxcast looks at making the tax returns of our elected representatives public and the inspirational achievement of journalist Umar Cheema of  the Centre for Investigative Reporting in making Pakistan only the fourth country in the world to publish the tax returns of its Parliamentarians. Also: how the British general election demonstrates political capture by finance interests; libertarian paradise – the world's newest tax haven; and is Singapore trying to shut down reporting on its tax haven status?
