Episode 34 - #OperationBaltimore or A Fire Sale at the CVS is a Gray Area

    in Current Events

Another week, another minority unfortunately dies at the hands of our nations finest. Yes our boys in blue don't seem to be slowing their roll of murder and mayhem. The story is similar to others, yet the details and laws that aided in the mishandling are slightly different.

Young Freddie Gray wasn't shot in the back. Details about how roughed up he was at the time of arrest differ, but one detail of this case made the public cringe, if for nothing more than the fact that the police couldn't reveal, by statute, what had happened to this young man after being loaded into the paddy wagon, not to mention his original sin was making eye contact and possibly heading the other direction.

After the police gave light chase, the apprehended him, restrained him with handcuffs, and caused enough pain that he was screaming in agony while being loaded into the wagon. They drove to the police precinct, and in that spat of time, Freddie's neck was 80% separated from his spine. They finally got him medical attention, where he slipped into a coma and passed away within a week.

Police offered no explanation, and why should they, Maryland has a law enforcement bill of rights that grants cops 10 to get their stories straight. As is now routine, angry protests followed, at first peaceful, but as Baltimore is a powder keg of inequality and racial tension, it soon escalated into riots the likes of which haven't happened since the great riots of the 60s when MLK was assassinated.

Is it finally time to address the underlying issues plaguing our society? What are they, and how to we appease the communities that are currently being disenfranchised by the symptoms of this divisive issue. The police are low hanging fruit in this grand problem. What is the root of it?

Baltimore burning: Beyond the Crisis; Police Negligence

    in Current Events

Obama calling rioters Thugs.  Class division and warfare.  A mysterious banging in a police van that led to fatal spinal cord injuries and a coma.  All the elements to propel the Black Lives Matter movement into another public demonstration of civil rights violations.  But wait....Freddie Grey was a 25 yr old man with a 22 crime rap sheet in 7 years, some crimes only 1 week apart.  How could someone with this rap sheet even be in the streets?  Even with all that, the police had no clear reason to arrest the man that night on 4/12...they found the switchblade on him after they made the arrest.  This show was recorded at 2 a.m. 5/1 before the announcement of charges against 6 policemen.  The horror of being chained in leg irons and not properly fastened in a police van is unacceptable.

Ezekiel's Wheel in a Wheel - on Dream Catchers - Les Paul

Many people who Have herd me and my Girl Friend speak about the 3 separate UFO sightings that we have had have been amazed by the pictures that I took of them as well as everything that happened related to the sightings. What we saw was so unbelievable that it has sent me on a quest to discover just what it could have possibly been or meant.

Well my Fiancée and I went to church this Sunday and the Pastor was reading from the book of Revelation’s and that’s when it hit me hard about what I had been trying to describe about what we had seen!!! It was the part I Ezekiel’s Wheel and remembered about prophecy and his visions of the future and end time’s prophecies because he saw a Wheel in a Wheel and which very much describes better than anything else to what Megan and I saw that night right over our heads pulsing and changing at a constant pace.

The center of the object of it was larger and round and pulsing as well and outer ring that was like a cloud that was rotating from within as well as circling the object. I was absolutely stunned at what we were seeing and amazed at all things that this object which literally flew up fast upon my car as I slammed on my brakes after my Girl Friend screamed loudly at what she had just seen!

Anyway I know this is a totally different topic and something I used to never talk about but being a Brain Injury Survivor and a Peer Supporter who works for and with people with Disabilities I have seen a lot of unusual sights and wonders so Tonight call in and share your interplanetary insights with us the Dream Catchers with me Les Paul Tonight!!!

Denial's Ugly Head on Brain Injury Roundtable

    in Education

Denial is an unrealistic hope that a problem is not really happening and will go away by itself.

We all have a natural inclination to rearrange our experiences to fit a positive image of ourselves. This manipulation allows us to preserve our personal integrity, and makes us feel secure. It goes on undetected because it takes place in the private corners of your mind.

When the demands of life require capabilities that seem to exceed our resources, when we feel the threat of loss and exposure, we experience anxiety. In an effort to avoid the pain of anxiety, we practice the deceptive art of denial.
Denial is an unrealistic hope that a problem is not really happening, and will go away of itself. It is an attempt to put distance between ourselves and our experience, and protect ourselves from the threat of danger. In its many forms, denial acts like a pain reliever. The practice of denial is an attempt to ease the discomfort of anxiety by a subtle and ingenious twist of attention.
Denial can become your worst enemy. It diverts your attention, and decreases your mental efficiency by way of trade off. As long as you refuse to accept the truth of your situation, you must of necessity, refuse to give it your attention. Instead you will pay attention to every possible manner of distraction you can employ to support your denial.
Are You Guilty Of Deceiving Yourself?
