It's time to help other survivors who are suffering find "The Courage to Heal" and Faith Reagan, host of the Surviving With Faith Radio Show, will be doing just that as she presents this multi-show series for survivors near and far!
You may be asking yourself what exactly this is about. "The Courage to Heal: A Guide for Women Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse," authored by Ellen Bass and Laura Davis is an empowering guide for survivors as they work through their healing journeys. Written with compassion and warmth, the reader is gently guided through the steps of healing, beginning with "taking stock" and "recognizing the damage" and then continuing on to the "healing process."
It is during this process that the reader/survivor learns to understand that the abuse was not their fault and learns to trust oneself. You learn that grieving and mourning is an integral part of the journey as you find ways to unleash the emotions, which have been smothered by the voicelessness of your inner child, and how to move on.
As your journey moves forward, you will learn about "changing patterns" and becoming aware of behaviors, which you want to change, and how and why these behaviors were developed. With change often come obstacles and challenges, facing fear and striking down the negative self-talk that holds you back. You will learn how to celebrate the achievement of your goals - no matter how small or how grand and claim the life you want to be living, the life that you deserve to be living!
"The Courage to Heal" is for women and men survivors of child sexual abuse as well as advocates, counselors, coaches, supporters, partners, family, and friends of survivors.

Join us as host Faith Reagan continues with the third show in "The Courage to Heal Series," which is based on the book "The Courage to Heal: A Guide for Women Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse," authored by Ellen Bass and Laura Davis.
As the last show ended, Faith was discussing the process of taking stock and explaining the "building blocks of safety" including how to create ground rules, create boundaries (or as Laura Davis put it "build a container"), find a safe spot, establish your privacy, and establish a protective pattern and/or routine. Faith will pick up where she left off in establishing a protective pattern and then continue with building your support system by making lists and asking yourself the right questions to know who directly supports you in your healing. After answering these questions, things to think about are: Were there any surprises in looking at all the people in my life and, if so, what were they? Can I imagine someone supporting me and why or why not? What's standing between me and a better support system?
Tune in to learn how to progress on your healing journey. May peace be with you!

As stated before, although not necessary for participation or listening, I encourage you to acquire your own copy of both "The Courage to Heal" and "The Courage to Heal Workbook" if you are able. Not only will the workbook provide you with exercises and activities, it will also serve as a journal of your journey.

Join us as host Faith Reagan continues with the second show in "The Courage to Heal Series." First of all, survivors please take a moment and congratulate yourself on having the courage to heal! Tonight's show will focus on guiding you through the process of "taking stock" as Faith steers you through the process of recognizing the damage through an examination of "where is your self-esteem and awareness of personal power?"
During the process of taking stock, you will be exploring your feelings about your body, intimacy, sexuality, children and parenting, families of origin and where you are now in relation to those feelings. If this sounds paralyzing and/or overwhelming to you, remember you are warrior strong as you have already survived the most difficult part of the actual abuse! Give yourself the credit you rightfully deserve for the strengh you already possess within youself - the strength that makes you warrior strong!
During last week's show, "Introduction to The Courage to Heal Series," Faith shared a list of questions encouraging you to ask yourself "where are you right now?" and to check off statements that apply to you. Have you found a support group or safe person? Unlike the desolate paths we walked during our abuse, the path to healing does not have to be journeyed alone. It is imperative that you begin your healing journey with the necessary survival skills and are able to create for yourself a safe environment. As outlined in the Workbook, Faith will explain the "building blocks of safety" including how to create ground rules, create boundaries (or as Laura Davis put it "build a container"), find a safe spot, establish your privacy, and establish a protective pattern and/or routine. Tune in to progress on your healing journey. May peace be with you!

Do you really know the diference? The only true way to live is through God. Surviving is when you have the ablility to maintain what you currently have. Living is the ability to supersede your needs and being able to help others through your overflow (the excess of what you have) not surviving to live! If helping someone hinders you that is not true help; no one wants to feel the burden of of your so called help! We are here to care for one another; help one another through care and compassion, this is true help and living!
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and the assurance about what we do not see Heb 11:1. The word also says that with Faith the size of a mustard seed you can remove mountains Luke 17:6. What am I saying; well I don't have to say much. God wants us to have so much faith in Him that we'll begin to believe and understand that if we put our faith in action He will have to do what we've asked and prayed for Him to do on our behalf.
Join me host Hezekiah L. Montgomery and Co-Host Nichelle Johnson as we pray, read scripture and discuss faith and what it means. The definition of faith is ~complete trust of confidence in someone or something~ I'll be reading and excerpt on faith from my book Rediscovering Kia and cross referencing it with the faith scripture from Hebrew's 11. We have to love the faith the Ancients were commended for!!!
My guest is author Danny Friguilti he exposes the false healing and prosperity gospel in his new book.-- False gospel teachers have eliminated essential truth about the gospel and are presenting a deceptive gospel with a false Jesus for selfish monetary gain. The true identity of the Lord Jesus has been tossed into an evil vortex, much to the delight of the devil and his demons. (1 Timothy 4:1)
† When you have finished reading this book, you will see that the Jesus preached and proclaimed by the Worldwide Faith Movement is not the Jesus who came from Heaven. The counterfeit Messiah of the false faith teachings is not the long-awaited Messiah who will save Israel. This false Messiah identity will deceive many Jews and Gentiles. The real Jesus has ample reason to be furious with those who lead Israel and the nations astray.
† Author - Danny Frigulti - has spent over 30 years researching and analyzing false faith / prosperity teachings. He is a graduate of Fresno State University.
† Luke 24: 45 - 48
What is imagination? How does it differ from fantasy? Why do we need fatih, and what is it anyway? How about Will? It is in the Rede, but what does it mean? Who is Sophia? Join me o this exciting episode while I attempt to draw back the curtain just a bit, so we can get a peek behind it.
Joseph Dubowski, author of Cartwheels in the Rain, Finding Faith in the Wake of the Unthinkable wrote the book no parent wants to write. On Valentine Day 2008, a lone gunman entered a University of Illinois classroom and killed six students. One of them was Dubowski’s lovely twenty-two-year-old daughter, Gayle, who loved to do Cartwheels in the Rain. His world was shattered; his faith tested to the core. “Day by day I felt deserted by God,” Dubowski says, “All day long I felt like I was walking under a cloud.”
But despite the horror of that time, he learned to lean on Jesus. On Monday’s show we will view the role of Dubowski’s strong, if sometimes wavering, faith on his journey of shock and pain.
