Memo: National Security Council
Even before 1954, when the Supreme Court of the United States of America declared unconstitutional separate educational and recreational facilities, racial unrest and discord had become very nearly a part of the American way of life. But that way of life was repugnant to most Americans. Since 1954, however, that unrest and discord have broken out into widespread violence which increasingly have placed the peace and stability of the nation in dire jeopardy. This violence has resulted in loss of life, limb and property, and has cost the taxpayers of this nation billions of dollars. And the end is not yet in sight. This same violence has raised the tremendously grave question as to whether the races can ever live in peace with each other. Each passing month has brought new intelligence that, despite new laws passed to alleviate the condition of the Minority, the Minority still is not satisfied. Demonstrations and rioting have become a part of the familiar scene. Troops have been called out in city after city across the land, and our image as a world leader severely damaged. Our enemies press closer, seeking the advantage, possibly at a time during one of these outbreaks of violence. The Minority has adopted an almost military posture to gain its objectives, which are not clear to most Americans. It is expected, therefore, that when those objectives are denied the Minority, racial war must be considered inevitable. When that emergency comes, we must expect the total involvement of all 22 million members of the Minority, men, women, and children, for once this project is launched, its goal is to terminate, once and for all, the Minority threat to the whole of the American society, and indeed, the Free World.
Renée Mollan-Masters, MA, teaches people that YOU ARE SMARTER THAN YOU THINK. Her internationally renowned book, teaching program and new online Journey helps people discover their best way to learn and how to maximize it.
Mollan-Masters' own journey began when she encountered the research done by Harvard's Dr. Howard Gardner and his book Frames of Mind. He had discovered that brains are different and they need different experiences in order to learn, and he observed that typical schools could not meet everyone's needs--thus illuminating Mollan-Masters' own experience.
She was so excited, that she began lecturing about these findings at colleges in Southern California, with students helping to create the You Are Smarter Than You Think program. Eventually she introduced it to the National League of Nursing and nursing programs saw their retention rates go from 20% to 80% when using the You Are Smarter than You Think book and program. In 2011 and 2012, a study was conducted with 100 students at the University of Minnesota, with the following results: 98% stayed in school, students on probation improved enough to get off of probation, and those students that could not get into their major because of low grades were now able to do so.
The Fourteenth Amendment (Amendment XIV) to the United States Constitution was adopted on July 9, 1868, as one of theReconstruction Amendments. The amendment addresses citizenship rights and equal protection of the laws, and was proposed in response to issues related to former slaves following the American Civil War. The amendment was bitterly contested, particularly bySouthern states, which were forced to ratify it in order for them to regain representation in Congress. The Fourteenth Amendment, particularly its first section, is one of the most litigated parts of the Constitution, forming the basis for landmark decisions such asRoe v. Wade (1973), regarding abortion, and Bush v. Gore (2000), regarding the 2000 presidential election. The amendment limits the actions of all state and local officials, including those acting on behalf of such an official.
The second, third, and fourth sections of the amendment are seldom litigated. However, Section 2's reference to "rebellion and other crimes" has been invoked as a constitutional ground for felony disenfranchisement. The fifth section gives Congress enforcement power. The amendment's first section includes several clauses: the Citizenship Clause, Privileges or Immunities Clause, Due Process Clause, and Equal Protection Clause. The Citizenship Clause provides a broad definition of citizenship, overruling the Supreme Court's decision in Dred Scott v. Sandford (1857), which had held that Americans descended from African slaves could not be citizens of the United States. The Privileges or Immunities Clause has been interpreted in such a way that it does very little.
In 99% of real estate and insurance brokerages I have every worked over the last 15 years, these are the training areas agents needed to improve producer sales and success rates:
Understanding what a business is
Some important economic topics
The definition of capitalism
The difference between marketing and advertising
Prospecting friends, family and strangers
Measuring contacts to prospects to sales ratios
Building rapport with prospects
Interviewing prospects and trial closes
Working as a consultant, not a salesperson
Discussing experiences and concerns with prospects
Understanding how to let prospects close themselves
Brokerages which lacked these traiing topics typically see high turnover because most producers are transitioning from W2 employment and have never owned businesses until they passed state real estate and insurance exams.
High turnover leads to:
Producers never learning the industry
Producers bouncing from office to office
Slow brokerage practice growth
Increasing commissions to attract and retain producers
Real estate brokers and insurance managers interested in reducing high turnover should contact 321SetAppointments.com for information to boost producer productivity.

There have been a rash of images that have gone viral in the wake of Ferguson, but the one that struck home to the MOMocrats depicted Florida student Frances Francois holding up a sign reading: "I Can't Believe I STILL Have to Protest This S**T!!" Fifty years after Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act into law, we can't believe it, either. Michael Brown's killing by a Ferguson cop is not an isolated case -- unarmed people of color are killed by police in communities all over the country, the militarization of local forces is an ongoing and disturbing trend. MOMocrats Karoli and Donna Schwartz Mills talk about the ongoing protests.
In the second half, Donna interviews California Assembly candidate Elizabeth Echols, the first of the MOMocrats series highlighting the campaigns of 2014 progressive women candidates.
Political discussion from the progressive point of view by the MOMocrats. Produced by Engender Media Group.
