The Summer of 1984 was an eventful 3 months for new Commissioner David Stern and the NBA; on the heels of an epic 7-game Finals slugfest between Larry Bird’s World Champion Boston Celtics and Magic Johnson’s Los Angeles Lakers, the first of 3 heavyweight bouts in the Decade, the NBA Draft was held in New York City; the Draft would introduce fans to 4 future Hall of Famers who would each write their own chapter in the NBA’s History Books. There was Forward Charles Barkley of Auburn, the rowdy, raucous “Round Mound of Rebound”, his polar opposite, little-known Guard John Stockton of Gonzaga, the majestic Nigerian Center and Number One pick  Akeem “The Dream” Olajuwon from the University of Houston, and the electric (Cue Chicago Bulls Public Address Announcer …”6 foot 6 Guard from North KAR-O-LINA!”)…Michael Jeffrey Jordan. These next-level players would secure the NBA’s rapidly growing stature as the Sport of the Future, with Bird and Magic now at the peak of their powers.  Jordan, Georgetown Center Patrick Ewing and 10 of College Basketball’s best would represent USA Basketball in the 1984 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles, led by iconic and infamous Coach Bobby Knight of Indiana University. Knight, known lovingly as a “Raving Maniac” by his players brought his no-nonsense, drill-sergeant mentality to the USA program and molded yet another Gold Medal Winner. The agony and ecstacy of the Draft process, with its Franchise-changing consequences were never more evident than the summer of ’84.

Aliens and the Antichrist with John W. Milor

Join Kenneth and John while they discuss the empirical events across the world leading up to World War III, the trickery and deceit of the New World Order, and the bizarre weirdness of the fallen angelic UFO phenomenon as we plunge head first into the forthcoming apocalypse and the Seven Seals of Revelation (chapter 6). Tonight we are honored to have screen play writer and author John W. Milor join us to talk about his book, "Aliens and the Antichrist" and "Aliens in the Bible.  John has some amazing insights to the scripture that few authors have attempted to address that open a lot possibilities to how many of the events in our future may occur.  This should prove to be an interesting program. God willing.

God Bless You - See you there!

O YE DRYBONES : The Real Thanksgiving with special guest DR.DAVID IMHOTEP

    in Current Events

Starting with the Pilgrims not only leaves out the Indians, but also the Spanish. In the summer of 1526 five hundred Spaniards and one hundred black slaves founded a town near the mouth of the Pedee River in what is now South Carolina. Disease and disputes with nearby Indians caused many deaths. Finally, in November the slaves rebelled, killed some of their masters, and escaped to the Indians. By now only 150 Spaniards survived, and they evacuated back to Haiti. The ex-slaves remained behind. So the first non-Native settlers in "the country we now know as the United States" were Africans. The Spanish continued their settling in 1565, when they massacred a settlement of French Protestants at St. Augustine, Florida, and replaced it with their own fort. Some Spanish were pilgrims, seeking regions new to them to secure religious liberty: these were Spanish Jews

Beginning with 1620 also omits the Dutch, who were living in what is now Albany by 1614. Indeed, 1620 is not even the date of the first permanent British settlement, for in 1607, the London Company sent settlers to Jamestown, Virginia. No matter. The mythic origin of "the country we now know as the United States"

The Career Expert Live - With Special Guest John Faye

    in Self Help

With 2 decades in the music business under his belt, Philly rock veteran John Faye has truly taken matters into his own hands: his new solo album Meddling Kid (which he is releasing a song at a time until the full record drops later in 2015) is an artistic tour-de-force on which he plays every instrument and sings every note (with the one notable exception of inviting all of his colleagues from his former band IKE to sing gang vocals on his remake of that band's signature hit "Into Philadelphia"). The lead single, "D.N.A.," is a scathing rebuke of skin-deep relationships and snap judgements in the age of Tinder and short attention spans.

John Faye has amassed an impressive musical resume dating back to his major label days fronting 90's alt-rockers The Caulfields (whose single "Devil's Diary" cracked the modern rock top-40, and whose album tracks landed on soundtracks for Disney's "The Babysitter's Club" and "Melrose Place"), to his first solo foray The John Faye Power Trip, which morphed into the aforementioned IKE (who put out 6 full-length records from 2003-2011), and his punk / garage-rock influenced duo John & Brittany, who gained notoriety on the Sirius/XM channel "Little Steven's Underground Garage" and on MTV-u with their video for their song "Paper Planes."

Now, in 2015, Faye is forging a brand new DIY path with his new record and live band, fittingly called John Faye & Those Meddling Kids! With sold out headlining shows in their home town and a coveted slot at Radio 104.5's Summer Block Party with Nate Ruess of Fun, The War On Drugs, MS MR, and Civil Twilight, John Faye is poised to bring out the Meddling Kid in everyone within earshot.
