Racism out of control, jet crashed, should regular people carry guns.

    in Current Events

As if terrorists weren't enough to worry about, now we hear that the Germanwings plane was crashed purposely by the co-pilot. Crime is spiraling out of control and the police are powerless to stop it. Gun laws hurt law abiding people because criminals dont care about the law. Should regular people be allowed to carry and the rest of news of the week.

Suspense Radio One on One with Rick Ollerman

    in Books

Suspense Radio One on One in partnered with Partners In Crime Tours is pleased to bring you author Rick Ollerman.

    His book Shallow Secrets:

Remember those old Ace paperbacks, with two actioners in one volume? Stark House is reviving them, with the current offering holding all the slam-bang anyone might want.

In Turnabout, ex-cop Frankie O'Neil is skeptical when a friend's death is ruled a suicide. He uncovers a crime unknown to the Ace masters: computer theft. These crooks have friends with guns, and halfway along the novel becomes a series of cliffhangers that hit another memory: movie serials. Will Frankie escape in time? Find out in the next chapter. You won't stop until you know.

Shallow Secrets moves slower, with a subtext: the power of chance to provoke horrors, then avenge them. Cop James Robinson doesn't just know the accused killer. They're roommates. The coincidence ruins his career. Then there are fresh killings, and Robinson is "a person of interest." Near the end, Robinson almost tells a woman that "there wasn't anything they could do to make the world safe" from murders. But coincidence can bring them down, as when someone sees something he's not supposed to.

Recap of Cops Brutally Beating Floyd Dent in Inkster, MI

Fighting back tears, a Detroit man and longtime auto worker with no criminal history, described how Inkster police officers dragged him from his car one night in January, choked him, beat him and Tasered him during a traffic stop that was caught on patrol car video.

"He was beating me upside the head," Floyd Dent, 57, told a horde of reporters and TV crews during a press conference at his attorney's office Wednesday afternoon, as tears trickled his cheeks. "I was trying to protect my face with my right arm. I heard one of them say, 'tase the M...F. '"

The Jan. 28 incident was caught on police video cameras and is making national news. It shows Inkster police pulling over Dent in his 2011 tan Cadillac near South River Park Drive and Inkster Drive shortly before 10 p.m. The two officers approach with their guns drawn. As Dent opens the door, they pull him out and shove him to the ground. Dent does not appear in the video to be resisting arrest.

As he is on the ground, a police officer later identified as William Melendez has him in a choke hold, and is repeatedly pounding him on his head. A second officer is attempting to handcuff him behind his back, but Dent has his right arm up, trying to protect his face and head against Melendez.

Another officer arrives and kicks him, and then another officer Tasers Dent in the thigh and stomach as he is handcuffed. Dent, who has worked for Ford for 37 years, said he was hospitalized for two days for injuries to his face and head.

GUTS, GUNS, SHERIFFS AND SOVEREIGNTY WITH AMERICA'S SHERIFF RICHARD MACK

    in Radio

    FIRST HOUR: RICHARD MACK

    Sheriff Richard Mack (Ret)

    www.cspoa.org

    www.sheriffmack.com

Sheriff Mack is best known for challenging the Brady Bill, a gun control scheme requiring local law enforcement to perform background checks on prospective gun purchasers. He maintained that the Federal Government had no authority to command local officials, and became the first sheriff in American history to sue the Federal Government (under the Clinton administration) and win at the US Supreme Court. The case was based on the Tenth Amendment, states rights and local sovereignty.

Mack is the son of an FBI agent and began his own law enforcement career as a street cop in Provo, Utah. After graduating from BYU in 1978, Mack became an officer with Provo P. D. He was soon promoted to corporal, sergeant, and detective. He spent one year as an undercover narcotics agent. In 1988, Mack moved home to Arizona where he ran for sheriff. He was elected Graham County Sheriff and served as such for eight years. It was during this time – in 1994 – that federal agents informed all sheriffs that they would be required to work for the Federal Government under the mandate of the Brady Bill, and Mack's court case began. Since that landmark ruling Mack has written seven books and appeared at over 120 Tea Party rallies nationwide. He has stood against the incursions of the Federal Government and has fought for civil rights from Hawaii to Bangor, Maine.

He is the Founder and President of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA) and is on the Oath Keepers Board of Directors.
