The Fast Break Sports Network’s “Basketball Friday Night in West Virginia” is your most comprehensive source for West Virginia high school basketball on the radio dial. West Virginia’s only live syndicated high school basketball program provides coverage and recaps from high school gymnasiums from the coalfields to the panhandles.
Hosts Ryan Epling, Coach Ric Morrone, James Collier and guests provide fans with continuous score updates, interviews, and analysis of the evening’s games along with recaps of high school basketball games that were played throughout the week.
Originating from the WMUL-FM studios on Marshall University’s Huntington campus, “Basketball Friday Night in West Virginia” airs each Friday night from 9:00 p.m. until midnight.
The Fast Break Sports Network crew works behind the scenes with play-by-play crews, correspondents, coaches and statisticians across West Virginia to make certain all the scores are continually updated for our radio listeners and website viewers.
“Basketball Night,” as the hosts commonly call it, first hit the airwaves in December 2013. Every live episode is produced entirely by student and volunteer broadcasters.

Tonight's special guest is Debby Washington Goodwin from Springdale, Arkansas, who'll be joined by her hubby, Mike T. (they are also perhaps better known as The Outlaw and The Lady). Debby is a mother who had to work through the rage, shame and guilt of discovering her only child's sexual abuse at the hands of her ex-husband. "A mother's worse nightmare!" she says. Mike tells me he's a survivor of childhood abuse that took its many forms by both his mother and his dad. The Outlaw and The Lady met in a Behavioral Hospital as patients. Upon discharge they dated, and married and have been given their strength and courage through sharing with others their life experiences while encouraging others to share theirs. Their mission dream is to give those that feel they have no hope with no voice through 'Keys To AWARENESS - Passionate About Compassion' on Facebook. Debby says, "We know first hand how the experiences of sexual, physical, and mental childhood abuse and how it can consume one throughout his/her entire life. We also know some do not physically survive it and for those we want to find and be their voice." Besides sharing on social media, they go out on the road to meet with clients, either as individuals or in seminars. Since their cause is centered on their own life experiences (child sexual child abuse and child abuse period), there's a lot they share only at their seminars. People privately will feel comfortable to share once they hear what The Outlaw and The Lady have been through. As Debby points out, "We're busy .. but that is a good kind of busy."

Dr. Joseph Kenneth Boettcher has his Doctoral Degree in New Thought Ministry and has worked diligently for years teaching astral projection students around the globe. At the group and individual level, he shares with those truly committed to higher learning within the spiritual paths of enlightenment. His focus remains on teaching the student to leave the body first, that they might receive their personal and unique experience of spiritual education. He seeks, at heart, to impart the understanding that within the astral state there is no mediator between the seeker and the experience of spiritual education.
Joseph was also one of the founding members of The Light Body Travelers Society, an international community of spiritual practitioners and astral travelers. Also, as a member of The International Order of the Gnostic Templars, Joseph is passionate and active in sharing the ancient mysteries of Gnosis and Goddess traditions. He continues to teach the forgotten mysteries at the individual level, as well as through intimate gatherings. His deeply felt philosophy that personal truth can only develop through personal experience and that by learning to astral project, this experience may commence, and self-illumination may begin, continúes to inspire and elevate consciousness within his circles.

Understanding the Recent College Demonstrations
In fall 2015, thousands of college students across the nation organized, protested, and demanded change at their schools. From the hiring of more faculty of color to the teaching of Ethnic and GLBTQ Studies and increasing student programs, students' lists of demands were vast.
Naysayers and conservative pundits were quick to critique these protests, but too few people took the time to listen and learn from students. As students return to their campuses from winter break, this show brings together student activists, educators, and community members to reflect on students’ demands, the factors fueling their protests, and the possibilities for change.
Students have long been the ones pushing for educational transformation. These latest demonstrations aren’t isolated incidents or the gripes of so-called "coddled” or “whining” individuals, as some would want us to believe. Instead, students’ demands stem from decades of racism, class inequality, and other forms of exclusion. Now is the time to listen to students’ demands and work together to ensure that our schools serve all of our students.

I spent a wonderful 4 days with my niece a few months ago. I had never been to Washington, DC before so you can imagine what a thrill it was for me. I really enjoyed spending time with my family, seeing the City, the White House and Lincoln Center, etc. I also had the opportunity of taking many great photos which is one of my major hobbies. I loved the Washington, DC City atmosphere and was in photo heaven. I will be posting photos at a later date for your enjoyment!
People, get ready for a super informative and interesting conversation regarding "Save McMillan Park" and also saving "Union Arts DC". Just to let you know this is the first time that I am interviewing a family member. It is also the first time I am stepping out to speak on a SENSITIVE ISSUE. The issue of HISTORY! The second day of my visit Amal asked me if I would like to go on a (Peoples Tour of the Historic McMillan Park), and that we did and so much more. Amal and her surprise guest will tell you all about this passionate group of people and what they are doing to SAVE a part of this Historic Park for the generations to come. As stated above there will also be some discussion regarding the "Union Arts DC" building. BTW, both "Save McMillan Park" and "Union Arts DC" have facebook pages.
Be sure to tune in for an informative, interesting and above all else - FUN, FUN, FUN time with me and my niece, Amal.
