    Abraham-Hicks: Letting Go of Struggle & Suffering

    in Spirituality

    This is one of my favorte topics.....

    Letting Go is great all on its own, however, when we let go of our struggle and our suffering which in most cases is completely of our own making, we can really taste freedom, joy, and peace of mind.

    Letting Go of Struggle & Suffering,

    Talking In Circles: Coke 600 Review, Richard Petty's Comments, Ty Dillon

    in Sports

    On this episode of Talking In Circles we review last weekend's Coca-Cola 600 and has Toyota caught the other teams on the intermeidate tracks? What does that win do for Carl Edwards.

    Plus, NASCAR legend Richard Petty gave his take on what he would like to see for changes in the NASCAR rule book and believe it or not, it made a ton of sense.

    Also Ty Dillon is spending another year in the XFINITY Series in 2016. The original plan was to move Dillon to the Sprint Cup Series after 2 years of XFINITY Series racing but that is no longer the case. Is this a good move for RCR and Dillon? Or is this just a result of a team not being able to find sponsorship?

    The Ratings for the Coca-Cola 600 failed to eclispe the Indy 500 for the first time in 10 years. Sign of things to come or just a blip on the radar?

    Plus we preview the FedEx 400 Benefitting Autism Speaks from Dover International Speedway. We will win? Who will run good and who will struggle and who needs a good run?

    Diane Latiker & Bill Duke - Exclusive Interview- Thur, May 28, 2015 - 6pm PST

    in Radio

    KIDS OF THE BLOCK, INC. (KOB) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit incorporated in the state of Illinois. Founded in 2003 by Diane Latiker, she opened her home to youth in her community to help them steer away from the negative influences they saw daily. KOB, has it is known, began to work with youth, teens, and young adults ages 12-24 years old. After speaking with the young people about their issues and concerns, she offered them homework help, mentoring, activities and a "safe place". Her work with youth emphasized self-development that would lead to change. Through individual meetings and group discussions new recruits were encouraged to assess their current situation, identify skills and a knowledge base needed to achieve the goals they have targeted. Starting out with ten youth from the neighborhood, almost 12 years later, KOB has serviced over 2,000 participants since it's inception.

    The “at-risk” youth are involved in Health Workshops, Cultural Events, Educational Tutoring and celebrations in their honor for achievements and participation.  The density and variety of programming invites these youngsters to come “off the streets” and become engaged in events that are conducted in a safe and caring environment.

    The organization’s key objectives are:

    To create a positive environment where youth can feel free to be creative;

    To provide exposure to other cultures, ethnic groups, communities, and activities;

    To work with each youth as an individual to promote continued positive development;

    To cultivate skills and meet the needs of the young people we serve;

    To celebrate their accomplishments.
