Morning Stress Reduction and Mindfulness for Moms

    in Moms and Family

    Good Morning Mamas!
We all deserve a moment of stillness to start the day and research is showing that any kind of stillness or mindful reflection practice and guided relaxation every day gives us greater capacity to parent better and be kind to ourselves in the process.  You are supported and a good mom. Let's know that in our bones by sitting together.
We will sit together for 20 minutes.  Even on the days you may not feel like it, knowing that you are sitting with many other mothers you can not only rest in stillness, you can also receive support from all the other women who are working in the home moms, working out of the home moms, single moms and just about any kind of mom you can think of.
I will guide you through different awareness practices in a practical non religeous tradition designed for stress reduction and self compassion.
If you want more extended support, I lead  Mother's Therapy Groups in an online format for mothers in the state of California.  You can find out more here:  Online Mother's Therapy and Support Groups.

Naturopathic Medicine for Stress Reduction Dr. Mark Sanders

    in Health

Celebrating Naturopathic Medicine Awareness Month; do you know how a Naturopathic Physician can help you with your health?  Each day we will be answering your questions about how an ND (Naturopathic Physician) works with chronic illness and common diseases to find solutions that support your healing.
Do you have a health symptom and continue to see your physician to get medication to stop the pain and suffering you may be having?  Perhaps just trying to stop the pain may not be the answer.  ND's help you find a potential source of that pain, be it physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.  Therapies vary from botanicals, homeopathy, nutrition, acupuncture, physical manipulation adjustments and massage to active counseling and listening to your deepest concerns about your health.
Today my guest is Dr. Mark Sanders, ND, a graduate of Bastyr University.  He currently practices in Connecticut and his work is based on 'hands on therapy with craniosacral adjustments' which align the body to function without restrictions caused by trauma and wear of the body with stress and other physical limitations.  Dr. Mark releases tension and shows you how to take care of yourself for optimal wellness.
Dr. Sanders can be contacted here for a free consultation or for a referral to a physician in your area.
