Can something aimed to save our life really save it when it also imposes a threat to it? The (stress) survival mode response embodies this contradiction. Modern medicine has now made it clear that there are detrimental effects of stress on health. Must we now survive the threat posed by our very own instinct of survival? Clearly this approach cannot save us as it only imposes more threat.
Today, with Eloisa Ramos and the guidance of Lessons 131-158 of A Course in Miracles, we attempt to move beyond survival and attack, exploring the cause of stress and why survival as a plan to defend ourselves from danger and death only reinforces the fearful belief that we are weak and vulnerable bodies/egos; thereby increasing the stress associated with the fear that only the strongest or fittest will survive.
Lesson 135 says, “Enslavement of the body to the plans the unhealed mind sets up to save itself must make the body sick. It is not free to be the means of helping in a plan which far exceeds it own protection, and which needs its service for a little while. In this capacity is health assured.”
We look at Lesson 136 which says, “Sickness is a defense against the truth” and why “No one can heal unless he understands what purpose sickness seems to serve. Being causeless and without a meaningful intent of any kind, it cannot be at all. When this is seen, healing is automatic.”

In the second of this two part series, Nick & Joanna will talk about how hypnosis can be helpful to decrease stress in pregnancy, prepare and experiecne ease in childbirth, and continue to reduce stress in early motherhood. Part I focused on how Ayurveda views conception and pregnancy and how this conscious approach can benefit Mother and Baby. Find part I here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/kalyana/2015/08/12/pregnancy-childbirth-early-motherhood-an-ayurvedic-perspective
This is a very important and tender time for both Mother and Baby and hypnosis is a wonderful tool that can have tremendous benefits not only to the mind and emotions, but also to the physical body. In keeping with an Ayurvedic approach and focus on self care, hypnotherapy definitely has some practical and helpful benefits. It all boils down to self-care where the most important aspect is consciousness. Even before conception is planned, care should be taken that Mother and Father are in the best of health so that their creation can have the best start; not only being in good health physically but also within their relationship to provide a loving, joyful environment in which the child will learn and grow.
Learn also how hypnosis can help mom and baby have an easeful time in the birth process that reduces stress and pain so the use of pharmaceuticals can be reduced or eliminated.

"Stress is a normal psychological and physical reaction to the ever-increasing demands of life. Surveys show that many Americans experience challenges with stress at some point during the year.
In looking at the causes of stress, remember that your brain comes hard-wired with an alarm system for your protection. When your brain perceives a threat, it signals your body to release a burst of hormones to fuel your capacity for a response. This has been labeled the 'fight-or-flight' response.
Once the threat is gone, your body is meant to return to a normal relaxed state. Unfortunately, the nonstop stress of modern life means that your alarm system rarely shuts off.
That's why stress management is so important. Stress management gives you a range of tools to reset your alarm system."

Health care success is heavily dependent on word of mouth. We know that people tend to turn to their family and friends for recommendations whenever they have a health problem, and we have the best plan to make this work in your favor.
Word of mouth occurs naturally, but, as any other advertising phenomenon, it can also be efficiently kick-started and controlled by a marketer. Social interactions have massively changed in recent years by the use of social media platforms - and the type of content that gets shared most often on social media is video. If you want people to talk about your health care business, you need video content to get the conversation started.
But, when it comes to health care professionals, there’s more to video content than just creating a shareable piece. The best health care marketing ideas are those that create a personal connection. Let's be honest - most people are terrified by their first visit to a new doctor - even if it's a regular checkup or a routine verification. A video is a chance to establish a connection before actually meeting the doctor. A video can help a patient set their mind at ease plus make them comfortable. For you, as this is more than advertising: it’s a great opportunity to introduce yourself, and to share your first smile with future patients. Thus, when you actually meet them in person, they’ll already be more relaxed and more willing to trust you.
Health care marketing ideas are not as much about marketing, as about direct, interpersonal, human to human communication. Our videos can make your business stand out and help highlight its personality and its appeal – so that people contact you with a smile on their faces. We know the competition is tough, and we can give you the tools to get ahead of them in no time.

Today’s Lesson Topic: Making Good Health Our Top Priority!
So many of us take for granted having strong healthy bodies, the ability to walk, jog, run or to be able to bend over, stretch or anytime of muscular movement without intense pain or discomfort is a blessing! To be able to clothe and feed ourselves without the assistance of someone else, even being able to go use the toilet when we feel the urgency to do so without having a mishap is something we should be thankful for.
SCRIPTURE TOPIC: (3 John 1:2) Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
